i think i would still read all 3. i don't really listen to what critics have to say about how bad a book is because everyone has different tastes right? lol

Yes, the musical is based off of the book Wicked. It's a whole series actually.

The first book is Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, followed by Son of a Witch, and then lastly A Lion Among Men.

I've read the first two, but didn't start the last one. From what I heard, it's horrifyingly boring and not nearly as great as the first -- or second.
