Las Noches is the domain of the true leaders of Hueco Mundo and their fraccion, and also the home of many other arrancar. We are the original Espadas who first formed in this realm, and we hold total authority over Hueco Mundo.

The Espada are true allies to eachother, and true enemies to our foes.

Espada Abilities

Caja Negación is used to punish arrancar subordinates by trapping them eternally in an alternate dimension. However, should the Caja Negación be used on an Espada, the Espada will eventually break out of the alternate dimension (usually within a few hours, depending on their rank), due to their large amount of reiatsu.

Cero Like all other hollows, they can use this blast technique. The Espada user fires a larger blast of great, concentrated destruction. While the color of most ceros is red/crimson, several famous members of the Espada appear to have great color variations in their Cero; Nogori's is Crimson, Akuryu's is Grey, and NNE's is Black. The strength and speed of a Cero is variating to the user. *It should be noted that Riningan has an exceptional mastery of Cero techniques unique to only him*

Bala is an arrancar alternative to the Cero. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. Though somewhat weaker than a Cero blast, it moves about twenty times much faster than a cero and can be fired at a much higher rate.

Gran Rey Cero is a particularly strong Cero. To perform this potent variation of the Cero, the arrancar first draws blood from the cero-generating appendage using his or her zanpakuto, then charges the Cero while mixing the blood with it. The result is a Cero with a much greater attack power and speed, as well as a change of color unique to the Espada.

Hierro refers to the hardened skin of the arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutō bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger arrancar have proportionally stronger skin. Some Arrancar and Espada choose to vary their Hierro levels, condensing their reiatsu to a particular part of their body, thus sacrificing the defense of the rest of their body.

Pesquisa is the arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to a sonar. Using pesquisa requires most Espada to enter a meditative state; however, some Espada have demonstrated unique abilities in sensing reiatsu.

Sonído is the arrancar equivalent of the shinigami 'Shunpo 'and the Quincy 'Hirenkyaku'; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for Flash Steps. The varying level and strength of an Espada is proportionate to their Sonido capability (Although this is not always the case)

Cero Oscuro is a black Cero, which can presumably only be used by Espada in their released state. The result of being used in their released state is a much more powerful Cero, possibly rivaling Gran Ray Cero, and has been referred to as a "fully-powered Cero." However, it is too early to tell for sure if it can be accessed by all Espada and not just the top 5, because only Gran Rey Cero, coupled with any Espada above Cuatro releasing their power, are forbidden under Las Noches. Obviously, Cero Oscuro should be forbidden as well, since an Espada ranked below 4th should be able to use Cero Oscura after his/her ressureccion under Las Noches.

Ascensión is the act of an Espada releasing their full potential and combining their very essence of power into a stolen shinigami captains bankai, thus creating an entirely new form and level of power. Although zanpakto's have a unique bond with their wielders, when stolen by an Espada who has a strong reiatsu, the Espada can 'tame' the zanpakto, and train with it to ajust it's capabilities. Ascensión takes a heavy toll once released, and is usually very wild, often requiring force by the Espada to subdue it back into it's sealed form.

Only the top 4 Espada are capable of using Ascensión. Once attained, an Espada is known as a 'Coronado Espada' (spanish for Crowned Sword), reaching the very pinnacle of power and respect.
