Matabei Gotou (後藤 又兵衛)Yukimura's loyal bodyguard and friend. She helped Yuki sneak into the Yagyu dojo and is aiding her in her plans to bring the Toyotomi clan back to prominence. A bit of a klutz and as clumsy as a lobster with mittens on, Matabei nonetheless is serious to a fault and takes her role of "protector" with vigor.
