Taketora Shibata (柴田 竹虎)A generally enthusiastic young policeman, Shibata Taketora will do whatever it takes to save others. He may have the appearance of a middle-schooler, but this policeman who wants to be a detective in the youth division has drive. A master at kendo, he makes up for his size in dangerous situations. When that doesn't work, he has his friends to back him up.During the course of the plot, Taketora meets different kids and he tries to help them solve their problems. This is where his special power comes in: he can see if someone is in mortal danger because, to his eyes, 'shinigami hands' appear around them. This, to those who don't know about Taketora's powers (which are the majority of the characters), causes them to wonder and some to even suspect that something's not right. However, Taketora usually ends up saving kids from immediate danger and becoming friends with them because he cares and believes in them, unlike what they expect from other police.
