E.G. the Mine (E・G・ザ・マイン)

E.G. Mine is a violent man who wears a suit that resembles a sphere and contains control threads for deploying lethal spikes. Further manipulating these threads, Mine can hurl them toward an enemy.

In the manga, he appears as the second Gung-Ho-Guns to challenge Vash, proudly displaying the dead body of the first Gun, Monev the Gale as a threat. Mine is quickly disarmed when Vash dodges his fired spikes and shoots off the straps holding the sphere together in one swift motion.

In the first anime, he is the third Gun to challenge Vash and displays the bodies of both Monev the Gale and Dominique the Cyclops. He is sequentially killed by Rai-Dei the Blade after Vash defeats him.

In Trigun Stampede, his true name is Ethan Gilbert, used to be called E.G. Bomber (E・G・ボマー) and later changed to E.G. the Mine (E・G・ザ・マイン) after meeting Willian Conrad and Knives. He is now equipped with lost technology and using bombs as weapons.
