Akito Wanijima (鰐島 亜紀人)
Akito Wanijima (鰐島 亜紀人, Wanijima Akito?) is an innocent, cute and cheerful boy who has a split-personality. Akito tends to use honorifics on most people, but not everyone. When the eye patch is covering his right eye, he is in dominance of the body. He also has a child like affection towards Ikki. Such as the event of when he wanted to join Ikki in the bath, Ikki didn't mind. Since Akito is so innocent, Ikki accepts this, since Akito won't realize the awkwardness.

Ikki 'rescues' Akito, and even though reluctant at first, lets him stay at his house. Akito now lives with Ikki and the Noyamano sisters, and attends Higashi Junior High School. He then becomes one of the five founding members of Kogarasumaru. He apparently likes to cross-dress, to the chagrin of Agito.

Because Agito is the Fang King, and possesses the Fang Regalia, Agito also happens to have his own personal tuner: Akito, who apparently is fairly skilled in this area, in addition to being able to hear Agito's inner sounds because they share the same body. However, Yayoi soon replaces him as Agito's tuner. In later chapters, it has been shown that even Akito has a dark side of his own, becoming jealous to the point of scaring Kururu when she gets too close to Ikki. Agito also noted that an angry Akito is even scarier than himself.

During Chapter 193 it's revealed that Akito has a third personality called Lind Wanijima.

The most extroverted of the personalities in his body, as well as the most friendly. Even though Akito is rather outgoing, he is also very introverted, in a sense, as he ends up spending much of his time in his mind with Agito in control of their body. He is very personable and loves meeting new people and making new friends. He will do everything in his power to help support his friends – usually by supporting Agito – and isn’t afraid to let himself feel emotions such as love and friendship.

He is very grateful to be away from his brother’s overbearing clutches, and expresses his exuberance in numerous ways while he is with Kogarasumaru, such as flirting with Ikki, or gleefully going along with whatever outrageous plan his friends have decided would be fun to do. While Akito is honestly happy, his happiness seems somewhat exaggerated at times.

Akito grew up (presumably) without any parents, his brother, Kaito, being the only family he has. He was trained from a very young age by his brother to be a tool, or 'pet', used for severely injuring Storm Riders as part of Kaito's job as the leader of a special government tactic squad called 'WIND' -- a kind of special SWAT force. Akito had loved knowing he was one of the best A-T users out there, and enjoyed the heavy training he was put through up until the point where he realized what he was being made to do. Upon this realization, Kaito told him that he was 'complete' -- the perfect pet -- and proceeded to lock him in a cage that would, from that point on, be referred to as his house. It was at this point that Akito created Agito to protect him since he didn't want to hurt people any more. Later on it was discovered that, thanks the intense training Kaito made him do from such a young age, Akito's body suffered some severe damage, more specifically in the form of a split muscle in his right leg. Agito had believed his presence in Akito's body to be the cause, and was very relieved to learn that it wasn't his fault.

Akito and Agito were both abused by Kaito in numerous ways, such as being shot with rubber bullets, whipped, made to wear a straitjacket, as well as being locked in his cage an indeterminate amount of time, which, obviously, played a major part in how Akito acts around other people. There was obviously some massive emotional damage as a result of all this. We know for a fact that Kaito had been putting Akito in the cage for at least two years prior to canon start, and that he had been experimented on at one point in his life due to information revealed in chapters 193-195, and that his fear of the gravitational elevator most likely came from an incident that happened around that same time.

At some point in time between the creation of Agito and two years before meeting Ikki and the rest of Kogarasumaru, Akito and Agito were betrayed by their best and only friend, Udou Akira. During the betrayal, Akira takes the place of who they originally wanted to fight (RenFah – the girl who Akira seemed to be smitten with) and beats them, taking the Fang Regalia from them and relieving Agito of his title of the Fang King. Not long after joining up with Kogarasumaru, Agito plots out a battle against Akira’s team, Behemoth, in order to free him of his obligations so he can experience the sky again, as well as to take back his rightful title.

Agito believes that he is going to disappear for the sake of Akito – fearing that his presence in Akito’s body is what is destroying it – and so gives his all in the Behemoth battle; a last goodbye, of sorts, to both Akira and Akito. This expectation is not met, and after the match and the raid that Kaito and WIND performs on the arena, Agito is taken to the hospital where he learns that it wasn’t him that had caused Akito’s leg to be harmed, but the gruelling training that Kaito had put him through when he was younger.
During a mission from Kaito, Akito/Agito meets Ikki and the rest of Kogarasumaru for the first time, and, as a result, manages to escape from his brother in order to live a life free of governmental responsibility. We learn later on that Akito was going to be court martialled for abandoning his duties, but Akira and Kaito had managed to prevent that from happening. In that same period of time we realize how much Kaito really cares for his little brother despite the way he has treated him in the past (it has been said by other members of WIND that the abuse was just Kaito's skewed form of brotherly bonding). Meeting Ikki had freed Akito from the well, so-to-speak, and Akito immediately fell for the spikey-haired youth, kissing him during this realization. From that point on Akito begins to feel grateful for having been born.

Continuing on from that meeting, Akito doesn't play a very active role in the series as Agito is the one active for a majority of the time. Lind appears in the more recent chapters during a period of time where Kogarasumaru is training vigorously in order to improve themselves. Agito is working tirelessly, doing nothing but training and sleeping, much to Ikki’s concern, up until the point where Orca comes into play searching for Ikki to harm him. Agito becomes frightened after Orca’s partner’s show of strength, but Akito lends Agito his strength and courage so that they are strong enough to beat Cesar without trouble. When it comes to Orca, however, they struggle, and once Yayoi stumbles across the fight and is taken hostage, Lind is released, presumably due to their distress.
