Anime Relations: One Piece
I KNOW THAT I SAID I'D UPDATE THE ONE PIECE ENTRIES EVERY 100TH EPISODE AS OF EPISODE 30 AND SO SHOULD BE WAITING UNTIL I'VE SEEN ANOTHER 25 EPISODES BEFORE I MAKE THE FIFTH ENTRY BUT I SERIOUSLY CANNOT HELP MYSELF ONE PIECE HAS BECOME SO INCREDIBLE IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME OH MY GOD

THE THRILLER BARK ARC WAS SO AWESOME, JUST SO GRIPPING OH MAN, SO MANY GOOD SCENES IN THAT ARC BUT NOW HOLY SHIT IT'S JUST COMPLETELY DEMOLISHED MY STANDARDS AND WHAT I'D EXPECTED FROM IT LIKE I THOUGHT IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE AS GOOD AS IT IS NOW BUT IT'S BEYOND WHAT I EVER COULD HAVE CONCEIVED
ONE PIECE HAS MADE ME NEARLY CRY SO MANY TIMES IN JUST THE PAST FIFTY EPISODES AND I AM COMPLETELY ASTOUNDED
I LOVE BROOK SO MUCH TOO HE'S LIKE MY SECOND FAVOURITE TIED WITH ROBIN AND ZORO WELL MAYBE HE'S LIKE THIRD BUT HE'S GREAT

HUGE SPOILERS OKAY JUST IF YOU HAVE EVEN THE TINIEST INKLING OF INTENTION OF WATCHING ONE PIECE THEN DO NOT CLICK THAT BUTTON
I JUST REALLY LOVE ONE PIECE NOW THE FOUR HUNDRED+ EPISODES HAVE ALL BEEN MORE THAN WORTH IT I AM SO GLAD I'M WATCHING THIS SERIES

Anime Relations: Robotics;Notes
I didn't think I'd be making a blog entry about Robotics;Notes today, but I am. Episodes 13 and 14 have actually quite surprised me. They're both really good, and they've brought up the series' standard for sure. The story is thickening really quickly and it's become so much more interesting that what it was when it began - coincidentally, Episode 12 was when Steins;Gate started getting really good too. I think that Robotics;Notes has the potential to become really excellent and even better than Steins;Gate.

Anime Relations: Vividred Operation
So I just got through the first two episodes of Vividred Operation a minute ago, and I can tell you already that this will be a depthless series. Probably plotless too, but I still have hopes. Seriously though, all this is so far is the cast of Puella Magi Madoka Magica starring in a Neon Genesis Evangelion/Sailor Moon crossover, and I can't see it becoming much more than that.

But, somehow, even with this lacklustre mashup of an anime, it's got me looking forward to the next episode, and I actually kind of enjoy it. I suspect that's entirely due to the idealistically boyish views pretty much every male like myself has, though; cute/attractive lesbians fighting giant robots with big weapons works for me any day. As for the art and animation, they're both high quality, but I guess that's how it should be for an anime like this. Vividred Operation is an unintelligent anime, but I think I like it.

Anime Relations: One Piece
So, three hundred and forty-one episodes into it, and it's pretty much skyrocketing to greatness in every way. After all that happened at Enies Lobby, it's really become a touching, excellent series that I enjoy watching a lot. I'd never really had a particular scene or part of One Piece that was my favourite, but now I definitely do:

So, yeah, all's well, I suppose. It can only get better, really. Brook debuted recently and I think I'll like him a lot!

Anime Relations: Tamako Market
Righto, so, recently, I've been watching a lot of anime, and also recently, I have not updated this blog. I think you, the reader, can put two and two together from that.

I spent half of a road trip watching the first thirteen episodes of Nichijou, and when I finished it, I felt like I'd really enjoyed it. One of my favourite things to do is laugh and be amused, and Nichijou provided me great entertainment. Definitely the funniest anime I've ever seen - it is supposed to be a comedy anime, after all, but I think it played that role particularly well. I wasn't in hysterics at any point though, but, as I describe in my comments on it, I indeed was saying "What the fuck?" to myself every second episode.

After said first half of described road trip, I had a handful of anime episodes to watch and I ended up doing so.
Tamako Market got me so excited and I can't believe I haven't been let down. I'm sure that somehow there is a psychological bias I have that's making me think it's much better than it actually is, but, either way, I absolutely adore it. Tamako is already my favourite character, and I don't really know why, but it's great anyway.
Robotics;Notes seems to be picking up the pace just slightly, but unfortunately I can see a bit of disfiguration in the eyes as far as animation goes, which slightly bothers me. No important matter, though.
Amnesia is still doing a surprisingly good job of, you know, portraying amnesia, and how it can affect a person's lifestyle. It's slowly incorporating a psychological aspect into it and, of course, a supernatural aspect, as all the viewers would know. It's very pretty too, lots of bright and dark colours for such a atmospherically hollow-feeling anime.
Oreshura is something I can't quite comment on accurately, however. The art is fantastic, but I don't quite understand the depth of the plot - and so, I can't really see it getting good any time soon. Mind you, I haven't watched Episode 3 yet, which I will today along with Robotics;Notes Episode 13, but I still don't think there's much going for it except the art. Definitely, the art is extravagant and even wild I'd say, even if it retains, if I recall, a somewhat pale colour scheme.
And as for Mangirl!... I don't even know. I can't really comment on a 3 - 5 minute long anime that's just about girls drawing manga. Also, was I the only one who initially thought it was about a hermaphrodite? I guess that shows my interpretation and extent of knowledge regarding Japanese culture.
I also ended up watching Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty for the first time and I love it a lot. It's very cute and very charming.

I have quite a few animes ready for me to watch, and I'll watch them soon. I'm kind of anxious that I haven't watched One Piece in some time, and soon I won't have as much time to invest into anime as I do now, so I'm considering spending the next few hours watching that. I also have to start an anime called Vividred Operation, which has intrigued me a bit, so I'll be doing that very soon as well. Hyouka will find itself in the 'Watching' list as well sometime soon.

There are some other animes that have been on my mind: Dragonball, Shiki, and Natsuiro Kiseki. I might reserve them for later, though, because I have all these other series to complete and they're not exactly at the top of my priority list right now.

You have now been informed of my anime activities.
