xamd and robots.
so everyone seemed really excited about xamd because it was all ghibli looking and well animated. im four episodes in and am not impressed. it might be good as a movie, but so far as a series it seems to survive on the fact that theyre inventing new things to cause cliffhangers to make you watch the next episode. that and general boring typical story arcs. i was a little surprised by the halfway creative king gainer sort of looking mechs in ep. four, a nice departure from the all too common full metal panic looking clones. its a shame gundam wont crank out a decent series anymore.
thankfully, macross is halfway interesting. and by that i mean the two minute fights are kind of cool.
still tolerating soul eater, and slowly dredging through the 200+ gigs of anime i have to watch.
hello.
no one will probably read this, but i might just jot thoughts on anime as i watch them.
at the moment, im watching demon city shinjuku, a moderately entertaining retro movie regarding....well...demons and shinjuku. on a slightly related note, an anime about demon harajuku kids would be fairly bitchin, this movie is pretty straightforward, with low depth, medium movie quality animation, a half decent dub littered with unnecessarily stupid accents, and a hilariously synthed soundtrack. ill probably give it a seven when i rate it, mostly out of appreciation for retroishness.
im still half enjoying soul eater, which is in my opinion one of the better animated bones shows. i really enjoy the fluidity and generally well done look. i much prefer this anime over the manga.
shinjuku is over, and ive resumed sword of the stranger, a movie i started a week ago and got caught up in a phone conversation. its.....boring. i honestly dont remember anything that happened, except for some people getting shot with arrows and being like..."psh." its mostly background entertainment, and i wont finish it before i have to leave for work. but whatever.
my computer has just informed me that the first 13 or so episodes of dragon ball are ready to watch. a wonderful addition to the other 200 or so gigs i have to watch.
well.
ive not got much left to say.
id be interested to see if anyone does read this.
