I wondered whether I should post this to the news board...
The name of the new character of the new Eva movie was revealed. She secreatly appeared in Nintendo DS game "Puti Eva".

Only her first name was given in the game.

"Mari" a mysterious girl. Probably we can meet her in the movie theater.
A Girl with glasses! Megane-kko MOE!
Interview of Fukuda Tadashi Part 2
Interviewer: Why do you do such a troublesome bussiness on your own? It's straight forward to let Google do it.
Fukuda: Our task as a content-provider is to protect the copyright holder and make them happy. If we let
Google do that, the significance of our company will be vanished. That's a scary thing.
We also work for fans. No entertainment exists without fans. If we neglect fans who have a good mind to advertise our products and keep on claiming the copyright infringements, we will eventually lose them.
There ARE bad guys. So we will examine all the uploaded videos, and we will make a boundary to divide good fans and bad "hooligans". There need to be an efficient system, but I'm not interested in an automated system. I wanna check one by one as much as possible. First of all, those who criticize Youtube don't understand what's going on there at all. I think "Watch Youtube first before make a criticizm!"
I respect for users' and fans' will as well as that of creators. I don't want to do something like just glancing at the application form and sending a denial letter to users. You know, we have a bitter experience of missing an important e-mail by the auto anti-spam software.
To maintain such troublesome services 24 hours a day 365 days a year, we established Kadokawa Digix.
Behind the development of civilizations and cultures, there always be a customer support and maintenance service. Society relies on those backstage business. I think that's the fundamental fact.
I've been thinking for more than 10 years that what is the obstacle to run a content-business on the internet and what kind of backstage job is necessary for that. I founded a company and acquied know-how and have been preparing for today. I've been encouraging my subordinates by saying "Those who maintain the 24h/365days service will conquer the world market!"
I found out what was lacking in Youtube when it showed up. When Google bought Youtube and the ad business model started to taking a form, I performed a simulation in my mind. So I had already come up with concrete ideas about what is necessary to run such a business.
For example, it's essential to have a system which brings money to the creators. To make money, we need to put ads to videos and sell the contents as much as possible. If there were no such system, Youtube would be a copyright violating service.
Interviewer: Still, I feel the risk is too big. Do you think taking the initiative is the key to making profit afterwards?
Fukuda: I hope other Japanese content providers will follow my challange. We are willing to cooperate with other movie makers as well as the Kadokawa movie group if they ask us to help the promotion of the whole Japanese movie business.
If we refused the cooperation with other companies, we would be able to keep the profit to ourselves. If Kadokawa's products became popular in Youtube and the creators started receive profit, other creators would bring their works only to Kadokawa. But such narrow mind won't progress further.
Kadokawa is the right company to do such a business with our know-how. It's a kind of clinical testing. I wanna establish an attractive system and encourage other company to join us. We are not aiming at listing to the stock market like an IT venture. It will sounds heroic, but I'm working for the good of whole Japanese market.
Please discuss this topic in the news forum. http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=16686

I just found a discussion on 2channel on the similarity between a scene from the END of Evangelion movie and the windows XP icon of the image file.

hmm...looks similar, but the icon is too small to see the detail. ok let's enlarge it.

The composition of the setting sun and the wing-like object is same, but I can say the similarity is within a range of coincidence. However, the discussion still goes on.
The Windows XP icons were designed by Iconfactory.
In the free icon images provided by Iconfactory...

I know her!

I know him, too!

I know this character is from Azu.... I stop bringing images here. It's endless. Definitely, Iconfactory designers are anime fans. Considering this fact, I raise the possibility that the Windows XP image file icon is based on the Evangelion scene from 10% to 65%.
