Thoughts:
The first episode was better than I thought it would be. I thought they would spend the episode going over the characters or re-iterating the previous three seasons, but instead they jumped straight into it only spending the first half (part A) to re-introduce the characters. Part B was spent introducing the new storyline and a few characters.
The disappointing part was that the episode felt a little rushed, as if they didn't have time to spend playing around with the antics of each of the characters (introducing Zelgaddis and Amelia really early on). Also the series seems to be focusing on the area formally inside the monsters barrier (Refer to season 3, "Slayers Try") rather than the vast new world they have before them.
The animation seems to be a sort of 'upgraded' version (shiny-er, defined lines, etc.) of previous Slayers-style animation (I call it 'retro' just for the sake of it, despite not ACTUALLY being retro). They also seem to be limiting themselves to 26 episodes, episode 2 is 'Because' and so I figure episode 3 will start with C all the way to Z.
All in all:
Fairly good episode. Despite the introduction of Zel and Amelia about 5 mins into the episode instead of later, the return of the original Japanese cast was a definite plus. It was nice to see Gourry's stupidity and Lina blowing stuff up again, but it still felt as if the first episode lacked that certain Slayers touch.
Having found some spare time recently I decided that I should waste it.
I had an idea of what I should do, use the blogging feature. I've been debating for a while whether or not I should do a blog, if so what should I do? Talk about my life/self.....boring.....talk about the anime I'm watching.....maybe......review the anime I'm watching?.....has some merit. So, I decided that I would torture everyone but blogging an anime ^_^ After debating for a while over which of the wonderful new anime this season has to offer I decided that the first series I ever do should be one I'm intimately familiar with.

Due to my lackage of Japanese skills (so basic its painful) I will only be reviewing and commenting on Slayers Revolution when I watch the subbed version (gomenne to everyone >.<) As a result I may not blog for several weeks. So please be kind.
