School (Crap) Days

How can anyone consider this crap to be good anime?
Have you ever seen more illogical behavior of ALL characters in 12 epizode long series? I mean, firstly they do not properly present them but lately everyone suddenly love that horny monkey...Best friends all love him, he is superawesome and coward in one person.
Anyone felt another emotion apart from hatred towards that idiot?
I was just looking forward to explicit violence on him since epizode 4-5.


Like COME ON, I have seen quite a bunch of anime but this is definitely worst CRAP ever (I even counted in Naruto movies!)

Nabari no Ou

Shounen-ai? Ye, maybe.
Conversation shounen? Ye, mostly.
Stupid melodramatic ending? Ye, gonna hate it!
This series was only about Yoite and his inner suffering but seriously why it has to take 26 epizodes?
Dialogues were very often plain and boring to follow. I was looking forward to furious war between villages and instead I had to listen for hours to death&existence&meaning of life topic.
Art, sound and rest of technical aspects were average
The ending was as bad as Mai-hime's one or even worse! 6/10

Haibane Renmei

I was looking for some slow-paced anime and that is what I fully got. Haibane renmei is one of those unique series which could have been easily expanded to double size and you still would not have enough.
Animation and music is average but atmosphere will tightly hold you till the end which is truly peak of emotions. Despair in its best form.
I would like to see more from Haibane universe because many stories remain untold and I believe they could enrich the series with another season.

Nodame Cantabile Paris Chapter

Finally I have spared enough time to share my mind once again though I saw Nodame 3 weeks ago.
Most important aspect of this season is the shortness! 11 epizodes? Everything is going smooth and you are looking for next epizode and suddenly you want to jump from the roof because computer says NO! Damn, I really wanted to see plot development! Also all these splendid stage performences I enjoyed in first season are hurried but very very hard.
Overall every small detail is same as in first season but animation takes a while to get used to.
I cannot rank other than 10 because they promised me third season.

Anime Relations: Wolf's Rain, Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven, Wolf's Rain OVA

My theme for December is sci-fi and there could not be better start then Wolf's Rain. All aspects were fine and I found another music goddess Kanno Yoko.
Most impressive was Wolf's Rain OVA without which story would have been only average. 4 epizodes of OVA show despair and truly apocalyptical end of world. Where Mai-HiME embarrasingly revives all characters, there Wolf's Rain goes on till the bitter end. So sad ending till last minute...
I believe that an epilog was unnecessary, but if they create sequel I will watch it for sure;)
Rating: OVA goes for 10 for the proper climax of whole series.


O.o Eureka is first anime which I wish to rate 10 already midway. Scene of Eureka Freefalling is burned in my head as I have rewatched it many many times. That wonderful mix of living animation, fitting music and character development. This is definitely my second most memorable scene after Lucy Kouta stairs one. I am looking forward to second half. Until then 10 is matching rating.
50 of 50 seen: Well, I can roughly compare Eureka to Kill Bill. To me it seems as two different volumes but I like both of them. First volume in both cases is action oriented and second one is plot oriented;)
Music, Animation and Characters this alchemy worked very well indeed! That is BONES for you.
I am glad that the end was properly long not as in other anime where they screw the ending in one epizode. Here I could enjoy grand finale, thumbs up for that!
OSTs are not half bad but they can not beat Kajiura Yuki OST hit/crap ratio.

Anime Relations: .hack//Sign, Beck, Mai-HiME, Tsubasa Chronicle, Noir, ef: A Tale of Memories.

This is it! Beck has reminded me why I started to watch anime. I wanted to see worlds full of interesting characters I would like to meet. Worlds where I could share with characters their lives even for a while. Experience & Emotion. That is it!
Beck kindly welcomed me and let me enjoy absorbing story. I do not want to spoil here so just visit Beck yourself.
I have to point out that I do not listen rock but Beck was so convictive that I mostly enjoyed all songs even if they repeated 3-4 songs on every concert;)
Characters are (after row of plain, simple series) various and I guarantee you will find your fav.
Overall: Yesterday I was convinced about 10 although story was not properly ended - there could have been more than 3 epizodes for proper ending or actually whole season! Main relationship was not ended and I am really mournful about it. It reminded me my own story...ah bittersweet memories^^ Right now as I am listening OSTs I just have to rank it as masterpiece and add Beck to my Hidden-Anime-Pearls.



One french-word review: Cliché ^^
Oh my beloved Yuki, do you know how much I suffer for your music? Lets say that .Hack was ok but Tsubasa almost killed me. It is true that I do not like CLAMP visual style (I said do not like? I hate it!) but this anime looked on the average. More importantly this whole story, each arc, each epizode was full of cliché, tens of hollow phrases about important people in heart and nonsense. One example for all: In the first world a dead sorceress claims to her daughter that there is no way to revive someone with any power. Bay guy offers that he would revive her mom with that super feather of memories and is kicked down with answer that is not possible. However in last epizode Sakura without any problem revive half of village...I do not want to mention that horrible arc about MMO world, it was very sad. Fights were sooo static, you could have skipped 10 seconds and he would have still done same attack -.- as bonus Syaoran & Sakura gj for names...
I know there is sequel but I wonder how many pages you could write about plot of these 26 epizodes...1? 2? If you carefully think back - did anything happen in whole story?
But what is most annoying Kajiura adjusted her music to this anime...what a pity. I have to check OSTs for proper rating.
Overall 6 (even FMA was better and it is quite shame^^) for anime and 1 for music (but this is just fan's point)


Well, I watched it only cause of Kajiura Yuki's music so it did not disappoint me;) But overall this anime is slow-paced, VERY talkative and missing good action (=ANY action). Although you have to survive so many dialogues, characters are plain, because we CAN'T see more of their real life. That could have been pretty interesting!, but damn no, we have to watch as they mostly wait for each other and talk about stuff which latterly happens in last 2 epizodes...
I do not even want to mention about the ending, because there is not the ending. I know about .Hack/games but I do not intend to play them so next time give me some ending, please.
So only music was flawless;) but sometimes music was a bit too loud so you could not hear characters talking...what a bad luck^^
Overall 6 for anime and as usual 1 for music.


One word review: EPIC!
3 OSTs and 2 single albums mean over 60 tracks! Yuki Kajiura brought me to this series. It is slow-paced anime with some interesting battles but all around I can not rate it more than 8. Remaining point is of course for music which boosted up every action and significant moments. I would say it is even better than Mai-Hime music. Style [especially church music style!], pace and atmosphere are same and I am glad for it. Now I am heading to Hack/.sign for more awesome music! Offer to this Goddess!

Yuki Kajiura is my new Goddess of Music and I do not think only about anime. Not only that opening, ending and BGM are beautiful but generally both soundtracks are balanced, I mean that you can find more than 1 or 2 tracks which are memorable. [In my wmplayer half of songs have 4 and 5 stars.]

Last week I finally had time to listen this OST. I consider ef music as one of the best in anime. However I was very very disappointed -.- There are over 30 tracks but most of them take about 2 minutes and I can not feel from them any relation to those wonderful ef~memories. Of course, singles as brilliant opening and endings are not included or only in tv size, so whole OST is more or less boring, repetitious. But I still looking forward to seeing sequel!

Anime Relations: Mai-HiME, Blood+, Mai-HiME Specials, Bamboo Blade

Until yesterday I was sure that Mai-HiME can get 10 from me. It is true that first arc (1-16) was more or less about nothing and only presented characters who are nicely developped and unique. However, the second arc overcame averageness and story started to show some strength. So near to ultimate score...BUT that OMFG last epizode knocked it down!!! If contest of worst-worst-worst ending was announced, Mai-HiME would get my vote.

I do not want to spoil here but after several epizodes which showed me, for anime rare, emotions as despair and misery and I really enjoyed it, they totally messed the grand final. If you think that Claymore ending is a crap, you definitely have to see this one! SO sweet that my teeth still hurt... Anyway Mikoto rocks ^^

What you should not miss is the memorable music. Songs are absolutely da best I have ever heard in anime (including ef- tale of memories)! Choirs and classic instruments...flawlessness



I have thought after longer series as Monster or FMA that long series can not offer much and they are more or less parazite on the plot. Blood+ is the first series which corrupted my belief. Actually I like longer novels which allow to you reveal characters and become a part of story. 50 epizodes were not sufficient for proper ending and it made me to think about it no matter that it was already gone. Have to mention nice OPs! Especially 3rd one.


Kendo as school comedy? Who'd like to watch it? I thought so as well, but this comedy got me as School Rumble did. Ok, It is not same kind of absurd humor but I often laughed loudly. However, Characters are true strenght of this anime. Each of them is interesting and individual, I can't find in my mind any comparable series so you have to watch to learn the hard way;)

Lets call out: Tama-chan! Tama-chan! Tama-chan!
