The Summer 2012 season is another unforgiving season with a ridiculous amount of shows that interest me. Each new season I will always tell myself that 15 shows is my limit (including the carry-overs from previous seasons) but with the large amount of interesting series to watch out, I’m not really sure “again” anymore.

As for My Summer 2012 anime line-up:

Guaranteed Watch List:

(from left - right) Rinne no Lagrange S2, Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, Kono Naka ni Hitori Imouto ga Iru!, Dog Days 2, Sword Art Online.

- Rinne no Lagrange S2 – I’m not exactly a big fan of the whole thing but I completed the first part so its only natural for me to finish it and see the whole thing ends.
- Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate – animation by AIC and a lot of similarity to Haganai is the icing of the cake.
- Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! – just reading the preview and looking at the character designs is enough to put this to my “Guarantee” list.
- Dog Days – I like the first season with it’s lighthearted feel, non-lethal large scale battles, and hint of romance, I’m actually pretty excited with this series.
- Sword Art Online – might be the series to watch out this season with all the people behind this.

Other series that garnered my interest:

High/Good possibility:

(from left - right) Jin Rei wa Suitai Shimashita, Yuri Yuri, Binbougami Ga, Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.

(from left - right) Campione!, Kokoro Connect

- Jin Rei wa Suitai Shimashita – interesting premise and animation is enough reason to try this out.
- Yuri Yuri – I haven’t watch the first season but lots of cute girls and comedy just mix together for me.
- Binbougami Ga – interesting premise of fortune and misfortunes.
- Hagure Yuusha no Estetica – I like the other series from Hobby Japan like the Queen’s Blade and Samurai Girls, as long that this series is not heavily censored (if it has ecchi materials) then I will watch this series but if is filled with heavy black or white lines then might as well wait for the uncensored version to come out.
- Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai – premise is interesting enough specially with the comedy and romance tag.
- Campione! – interesting premise filled with action and gods but the male protagonist worries me, will check this out.
- Kokoro Connect – Body swapping? Let see how this will work…

Medium/Decent possibility:

(from left - right) Tari Tari, Muv-Luv Alternative, Moyashimon Returns, Natsuyuki Rendezvous, Joshiraku.

Ebiten: Kouritsu Ebisugawa Koukou Tenmonbu

- Tari Tari – I only manage a few episode of Hanasaku Iroha so I’m not sure of this, but I will try a couple of episodes first before deciding if I will continue this.
- Muv-Luv Alternative – mecha action is all good but with Eureka Seven, Gundam AGE, and the returning Rinne no Lagrange I’m not sure if I have enough thirst to watch another mecha series this season.
- Moyashimon Returns – another series that I haven’t watch the first season but the premise is really interesting I might actually check this out.
- Natsuyuki Rendezvous – I’m not really into the premise but this series has a little bit of mature feel on it.
- Joshiraku – Let see how the comedy will work…
- Ebiten: Kouritsu Ebisugawa Koukou Tenmonbu – the premise is interesting and a potential good harem also, might check this out.

Carrying over from previous seasons will be the ff:

- Accel World, AKB0048, Eureka Seven AO, Hyouka, MS Gundam AGE, and Saki Achiga-hen

From the beginning there are only One show that really caught my eyes and excitement the moment I've read the news of it airing this Winter...

Nisemonogatari (Guaranteed) - really a huge of fan of Bakemonogatari, in fact I've re-watched it multiple times, so yeah I'm all to this...also I think they are not hiding the fact that they have short hairs except probably Hatchikuji Mayoi as seen in the PVs :)

As for the other prospects:

Black Rock Shooter (Guaranteed) - Hatsune Miku maybe is my favorite VOCALOID but not really the song Black Rock Shooter, but nonetheless I've watched the short OVA last year and kinda like, so a must watch.

Another (Guaranteed) - it's been quite sometime since shows like Ghost Hunt, Higurashi, and Shiki that really upped the horror-mystery ante, so I have my huge expectation on this show. My question is...is this the next Ghost Hunt? Higurashi? or Shiki? I'm very much willing to find out.

Other hopefuls...

Natsume Yuujin-chou Shi (Good) - OK, so I've watched all the first three series of this franchise, to me it's as if it will take forever before Natsume finally finished giving back all the names of the Youkai's his grandmother took when she was alive. I think it wouldn't hurt to watch another season, I just hope that this time around even a little romance to the series wouldn't hurt that much (so please let there be...hoping).

Prince of Tennis (Decent) - I've watched up to 160 of the 178 episode series but somehow cannot finish the remaining 18, also I watched a few episodes of the OVAs...still unable to complete it. So the probability of watching this is low, but might check the first few episodes.

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes 2nd Act (Decent) - after watching Madoka Magica last winter 2011 season, I say I'm more open to watching girly shows with frilly clothes and magic wands again (Uta Kata and Hougako no Pleiades), so I might try this to see if I'll enjoy this.

Recorder to Randoseru (Decent) - the same studio that animated Morita-san? I might watch this for the comedy.

Kill Me Baby (Decent) - typical schoolgirl and not so typical assassin and JC Staff? Hmm...might check this out.

Amagami SS+ plus (Decent) - I'm only 2/3s of the first arc when I decided to put the first Amagami SS on hold, I might check this show but most likely after I've completed the first season (if ever).

High School DxD (Decent) - if this is similar to Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, then I expect heavy censorship. I might check this out but most likely will just wait for the uncensored version like when the BDs of Ichiban and Queen's Blade (the later which I found really good) was released.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear (Decent) - not sure what to say after reading the preview, but an original anime in my opinion is always worth checking out.

Area no Kishi (Decent) - not really a fan of sports anime, but the word "drama" in the genre surely caught my attention.

Zero no Tsukaima F (Poor) - I finished the first season but failed to finished the second, I might probably watch this only after I've completed the previous installments.

Mouretsu Pirates (Decent) - Space opera? I don't know exactly what that entails, but the premise alone is interesting so I might check this.

BRAVE10 (Poor) - didn't watched Sengoku so my chances of watching this is low.

Rinne no Lagrange (Decent) - Hmm...mecha anime is always welcome as long as it has an interesting premise.

Aquarion EVOL (Decent) - The premise is interesting but to much mecha in a season if I watch this together with Rinne, might check this out also.

Ano Natsu de Matteru (Good) - romantic comedy is always a must in my books, also the fact that the creators of Onegai teacher and JC Staff is producing this, that alone increases my anticipation for this series.

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Poor) - I'm not a big fan of male centered comedy series.

Papa no Iu Koto wo Kikinasai! (Good) - like the premise and character designs, could be the Usagi Drop of the season so this series is definitely worth checking out.

Inu x Boku SS (Decent) - interesting premise plus the comedy and romance tag surely made this series caught my attention, in addition the art is quite nice so I might check this out.

Smile Precure! (Poor) - I haven't watched or is interested to watched any of its previous installments, so the chances of me watching this is poor.

The Fall season is just around the corner and a here is my quick look on the shows I'm looking forward the most (the open and close parenthesis after the title are the odds I will be watching the series):

- Busou Shinki Moon Angel (Good): I've seen the pre-broadcast airing of this mini-series and the Infinite Stratos style of the mecha designs is what really attracts me to this series, being a 5-min/episode, I should say there is no reason for me not to try this out.

- Shinryaku!? Ika Musume (Guaranteed): More Ika Musume goodness? I approved of this!

- C³ -C Cube- (Good): BakaTest with the addition of curses? That is something I would wanna watched and see if it’s any good and being just a 1-cour anime will certainly increase that possibility.

- Fate/Zero (Guaranteed): The original attraction that draw me to Fate/Stay Nightwas Saber and that little romance affair she had with her master but nothing much outside of that. I also watch Unlimited Bladeworks but my impression of that is abysmal at best. Now here comes Zero, I have quite a high expectation of this one because of the involvement of Ufotable (Kara no Kyoukai) , Urobuchi Gen (Madoka Magica) , and Kajiura Yuki (Madoka Magica, Kara no Kyoukai) ...I hope it live up with its HYPE!

- Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! (Decent): If this series is really a romcom just like how RC say it is then this will be a "MUST" watch, if this series is also a 1-cour then the odds would definitely be higher.

- Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (Decent): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series, will try a couple of episodes first.

- Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle (Decent): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series, will try a couple of episodes first.

- Tamayura ~hitotose~ (Good): I watched the Tamayura OVAs and all I can say is that it is a good slice of life anime, this series being a 1-cour certainly helps.

- Kimi to Boku (Decent): A story about guy friends? This is something I will try a few episodes first.

- Chihayafuru (Good): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series (and it is MADHOUSE), will try a couple of episodes first. If this series will be as good and intriguing with the likes of Shion no Ou the odds I will be watching this is certainly higher, what I'm worried about is that this series is slated for 25ep, for me to watch a series this length, it has to be really good otherwise I will have difficulty watching this and be put On-hold eventually.

- Mashiro-iro Symphony (Good): I like harem-themed series, if the setup is similar to the likes of Fortune Arterial based on the description of RC, then this is a "MUST" watch for me.

- Persona 4 the ANIMATION (Decent): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series, will try a couple of episodes first.

- Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Guaranteed): I've watched the 11-min pre-Airing episode of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (or Haganai for short) and from that I placed it into my Guaranteed list. Very attractive are the premise, the fact that it will be done by AIC Build (Oreimo), and character designs by Buriki whose character designs in DenpaOnna are really beautiful.

- Shakugan no Shana III (Final)(Guaranteed): I watched SnS 1 and I felt good on it, then SnS 2, I feel good on it again, then the movie version, and all the OVAs and extras. All I can say is that this series is something I'm really looking forward to the moment it was announced a year ago(?).

- Last Exile -Ginyoku no Fam- (Good): I watched the original Last Exile and I'm impressed with it, will try this out and see if it is something to look forward to.

- Ben-To (Good): a comedy that is focused on Bento? Will try to check this out for sure.

- Mobile Suit Gundam AGE (Guaranteed): Being a certified Gundam fan now, there is no way I'm gonna miss this series. This is the series I'm looking forward to the MOST!

- Mirai Nikki (Good): I watched the short OVA which was released last year and the premise really catches my attention, will be looking forward to this series. Being a 26 episode series though might decrease the odds I will be immediately watching this and complete this sooner.

- UN-GO (Good): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series, will try a couple of episodes first.

- Guilty Crown (Good): Primary attraction is RC's description of the series, will try a couple of episodes first.

- As for other shows like Working!! and Bakuman 2 , I haven’t seen its season one and I currently have no plans watching those.

Note: RC is short for random curiosity, an English anime blog site that is receiving a lot of following from anime fans. Every new season, they release a Preview of all the series that will be airing and the chances they will be blogging those. http://randomc.net/ As for their Fall Preview http://randomc.net/2011/09/20/fall-2011-preview/

Overall: My list of prospects for Fall season 2011 are pretty big compare to the 8-10 series/season I chose to watch weekly during their airing from the previous Winter, Spring, and Summer season 2011. Having almost all the series to broadcast this coming Fall, all I can say is I'm very excited about it.
