Anime Relations: Zero no Tsukaima ~Princesses no Rondo~

We get fanservice as usual ... and of the good kind -- meaning romance between Louise and Saito. Did my eyes and ears deceive me? Did this whole episode go by without a breast joke? Yes!!! While the end of ep1 may bring some concern back, I at least had a great time with this episode not worrying about a "reset" or more unfaithful Saito behavior.

I got a chance to watch/read the kinetic novel tonight. With the exception of dinner (and it was hard to pull myself away), I didn’t think I would finish it all in one sitting. But I shouldn’t have underestimated a Key story. It’s a relatively short story at 4 hours (depending on your autoplay speed), but it will still be a memorable four hours spent. It’s longer than a standard movie after all; I wonder if it will be a movie or OVA when Kyoto Animation starts this project sometime in the future (oh you know they will).

Anime Relations: Kanon, Kanon (2006)

OTL is back with the final two tracks of the second disc, subtitled Akiko-san no ban gohan, in the Kanon Minase san chi drama CD series. I think there are five CDs in all.

Better late than never. Here are photos of Comptiq Heroines volume 9, released March 26, 2008. It's the latest one until volume 10 comes out on May 26. Again, I can barely read any of it, but so far I've been buying them for the posters and goodies. ^^; The cover price is 780 yen, thirty more than before but still a bargain considering what's inside. In this issue, Kanata joins Konata in her ninth straight appearance on the cover of this magazine. I don't think it'll ever stop, especially with the Lucky Star OVA coming along to give new momentum to the series.

Anime Relations: True Tears

Another great series has reached its end, and I do hope P.A. Works continues with beautiful projects in the future. You've got KyoAni on the run, potentially. Or at least your writing staff does. I await the American release of this series' DVDs, because I really need to share true tears's excellence.

Anime Relations: Clannad

Nagisa and Tomoya? Whatever. This one'll be all about Mei-chan. She made this episode great and totally stole my heart. Although I guess Nagisa and Tomoya did have lots of cute stuff going on. It was almost stereotypical romance all over again from the shy handholding to everyone else playing matchmaker for them. But I did enjoy the cinnamon scene as well.
