Anime Relations: No Game No Life
I figured it'd be interesting to start an archive for these. Rather than deleting them off my profile completely when a season ends, I'd like to have something to look back on as the years go by. I intend to only put rankings here, not interested in doing final thoughts for these. For 2-cour series, I'll rank shows based on the quality of the episodes that aired during that season. Expect adjustments in the next season if the quality goes up or down. Anything that is dropped, put on hold, or longer than 26 episodes will not be listed.

Sakura Kissing (Dropped)
Anime Relations: Sakura Trick
Update: Since I don't particularly care about this anime anymore, I'm just gonna watch it regularly. Gomenasai! ;^^
Rules: Only lip-to-lip kisses count; cheek kisses do not. The timer starts right when the lips make contact and ends when the frames stop showing the kiss or when the lips are no longer in contact with each other. I will only time the OP/ED kisses for the first episode. If there is a kiss where the camera angle shows the back of the head, I will start the time when the head stops moving in for the kiss (kinda tricky). I'll also start the timer when I hear kissing sounds. Just as a reference for which version of the anime I'll be watching, it'll be Mezashite. If you notice any times that are off, make sure it doesn't have anything to do with what the other fansubbers or raw encoders are doing. Some may have sponsor screens that can affect the timing (I wouldn't know, I've only downloaded from this group).

As many of you news followers may already know, there will be a kind of collaboration of sorts involving the anime adaption of five light novels. Each of them has a promotional video uploaded by Media Factory and a news article done by MAL's news staff. I'll be posting the synopsis, the PV, and links to the LN's database entry on MAL as well as their respective news entries. I'm also likely to watch all of these (regardless of the staff in charge of the production) just because it's part of an event. They look pretty fun too.

Muv-Luv Character Popularity On MAL
Anime Relations: Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse
Spoiler warning: the contents of this entry are spoiler free, but the comments are not.
Ah, geez, such a disagreeable outcome. Either MAL is just not that into visual novels enough to make a steady difference or the majority of Muv-Luv fans are not even adding these guys on MAL. Either way, these should come out so much differently than they are right now.
Mitsurugi, Meiya

Well, at least MAL can get ONE thing right. Mitsurugi is undoubtedly the best character in the series. Between her sharp judgments, her great sense of loyalty, her incredible reliability, and just her overall magnificence, it's hard to imagine anyone else ranking at the top. Good job, MAL!

Okay, I can definitely see her charm, but really? I wouldn't be nearly as bothered by this if she wasn't ahead of Takeru, but this is just... I mean, really guys, Takeru has been through so many traumatic experience, has undergone the most development, and has made so many hard calls that he really should be placed higher. Yes, Sumika is a very interesting character, and her personality is a lot more likable, and even I like her more than Takeru, but I still don't think she should be ahead of him. 5/10

Now here's a prime example of what it takes to make it in unproportional VN rating system that is MAL. While he most certainly could have gone higher (as I ranted in Kagami's section), he did a pretty damn good job as a character to make it to this point at all. Now if only MAL could into visual novels, this guy would likely have a better shot at being in the spot he deserves. One can only hope this gets an anime adaption... though I highly doubt it. =/

Wahahahaha! Oh yeah, Kouzuki is a riot for sure! And at the same time, she is also very logical, very perceptive, and just a sheer genius. Not even in just appearance, she really is as smart as she's suppose to be. Her ability to make rational decisions in complicated situations, the amount of precision in her calculations, and her predictions are incredible. She also has the greatest significance when it comes to the overall plot in Muv-Luv. So yeah, I'd say that this is a fairly accurate number.

Do I really have to be one of the only 14 people to add her as a favorite? Come on, guys, Yashiro is an immensely interesting character with very peculiar traits and a very well written backstory. I guess I can see not wanting to fave her out of guilt for being viewed as a lolicon, but one shouldn't even consider those aspects when looking at her character. She's incredibly cute, she's not generic in any sense of the term, and has the fewest cliches surrounding her character out of the main cast. Would really prefer to see her at least break 40. Come on, Muv-Luv fans! Make it happen!

So... Ayamine. Well, I can kinda see why she would pull ahead of the others. And don't get me wrong here, I still hold her in very high regard as I do with the rest of the glorious cast, but I still want to believe that the others were somewhat better. If nothing else, it's probably due to my frustration over the constant bickering that goes on between her and Sakaki that sorta get on my bad side. If nothing else, she does have an interesting enough personality to warrant this position.

And that's about it. I decided to only add characters from the main cast of Alternative. The only exception was Marimo, but I felt that she held enough relevance to be included. It would be pretty interesting to see how the trend would alter if this were ever adapted into an anime. As it stands, the more people you have voting on the characters, the more accurate the results tend to be. Granted, it would be incredibly shaky while Extra was in the process of adaption, but once the entire series was completed, it would have the potential to yield some incredible results. Again, I'm not gonna get my hopes up for an anime adaption. If it even happens at all, it probably won't be for another 10 years or so. So this might just be the final result. Well, if it ever does, you'll know where to go if you ever want pre-adaption votes.

General Optimization For The Internet
Anime Relations: Gintama

As a general recommendation for overall performance enhancement, I'd recommend Advanced SystemCare Pro. It's incredibly easy to use after the first time configuration, all you have to do is click the scan and repair button. I'd also suggest using the defrag found in the toolbox section, it does a more thorough job than the regular defrag and it has the option to optimize your files as well.
Browsing
If you have a good amount of ram on your computer (or don't use that much memory at all) and use a 64-bit OS, I'd recommend using a 64-bit browser like Waterfox (unless you prefer using Chrome, but I like Firefox more). It allows you to use more ram than a 32-bit version and has better performance overall. Also, be sure to clear out your browser history every once in a while too, that can lead to some heavy performance losses if you let it build up for a while.
System
Be sure to maintain as much free space on your hard drive as possible as it will help to run it more efficiently. You can do this by keeping large files on another hard drive (it's well worth owning an external). You can also try removing extra programs that you don't really use. There'll be times where program installers will contain bloatware that can be mistakenly installed on your computer, and you'll want to keep an eye out for those. Ideally, you'll want as few programs installed on your computer as possible. Also, check to see if you have any programs that start automatically on login. They can slow down windows startup and continue to take up memory in the background until you manually disable them.
How To
Run Advanced SystemCare Pro:
It's pretty straightforward. Just run the installer and follow the steps. Don't forget to look through the toolbox section to see if there's anything else you can use.
Check If You Have A 64-bit OS:
Click the start menu button, type in "system" in the search box, open it up from the programs list, and look at system type.
Clear Browser History:
Open the drop down menu in the top left corner, select options, click "clear your recent history", select everything (I prefer leaving site preferences though), and hit the clear button. You'll have to re-log into most of your online accounts after this.
Remove Programs:
Click the start menu button, open up your control panel, and select "uninstall a program" at the lower left-hand side of the menu.
Keep Programs From Running On Windows Startup:
The best method would be to open up the program in question and disable the option to run on startup from there. But for programs that don't have the option available, you'll want to go into your system configuration. Click the start menu button, type "msconfig" in the search box, go to the startup tab, and uncheck everything you don't want to run on startup. As a general recommendation for overall performance enhancement, I'd recommend Advanced SystemCare Pro. It's incredibly easy to use after the first time configuration, all you have to do is click the scan and repair button. I'd also suggest using the defrag found in the toolbox section, it does a more thorough job than the regular defrag and it has the option to optimize your files as well.
Browsing
If you have a good amount of ram on your computer (or don't use that much memory at all) and use a 64-bit OS, I'd recommend using a 64-bit browser like Waterfox (unless you prefer using Chrome, but I like Firefox more). It allows you to use more ram than a 32-bit version and has better performance overall. Also, be sure to clear out your browser history every once in a while too, that can lead to some heavy performance losses if you let it build up for a while.
System
Be sure to maintain as much free space on your hard drive as possible as it will help to run it more efficiently. You can do this by keeping large files on another hard drive (it's well worth owning an external). You can also try removing extra programs that you don't really use. There'll be times where program installers will contain bloatware that can be mistakenly installed on your computer, and you'll want to keep an eye out for those. Ideally, you'll want as few programs installed on your computer as possible. Also, check to see if you have any programs that start automatically on login. They can slow down windows startup and continue to take up memory in the background until you manually disable them.
How To
Run Advanced SystemCare Pro:
It's pretty straightforward. Just run the installer and follow the steps. Don't forget to look through the toolbox section to see if there's anything else you can use.
Check If You Have A 64-bit OS:
Click the start menu button, type in "system" in the search box, open it up from the programs list, and look at system type.
Clear Browser History:
Open the drop down menu in the top left corner, select options, click "clear your recent history", select everything (I prefer leaving site preferences though), and hit the clear button. You'll have to re-log into most of your online accounts after this.
Remove Programs:
Click the start menu button, open up your control panel, and select "uninstall a program" at the lower left-hand side of the menu.
Keep Programs From Running On Windows Startup:
The best method would be to open up the program in question and disable the option to run on startup from there. But for programs that don't have the option available, you'll want to go into your system configuration. Click the start menu button, type "msconfig" in the search box, go to the startup tab, and uncheck everything you don't want to run on startup.
