I'm sorry, I don't care what it's about. It's terrible.
All too often I hear someone enduring the sounds of cookie cutter alternative "music" simply because it's about their religion. Don't get me wrong, I don't care what religion you have. Everyone has a right to believe what they want. But that music is terrible, and telling me, "it's okay because it's about Jesus" isn't helping your case.
Let me try to put this into another medium of art.
MY MASTERPIECE
Here, I just created this work of beauty. Yeah, my skills aren't so great, but it has Jesus in it, so it's better now right?
Also I wrote this poem;
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Jesus is neat
And so are you
Might not be very original, but Jesus gives it +100 credibility!
Just sayin'.
Again, this isn't about your deity of choice. This is about bad music being passed as good simply for including your deity of choice.
