Title attracted you, didn't it? Good
I always turn on my computer the moment I wake up. It's a daily habit of mine and I always enjoyed the rather soothing sound of the OS startup. Although today I was greeted with a different sound, the sound of a girl giggling. No, I wasn't high. No, I'm not drunk. No, I don't have siblings. No, the TV was not on. I am the only one in the house. I was wide awake when turning the computer on. I didn't believe what I was hearing! Just how often are you greeted with a girl giggling when the computer boot up? Not often, I think. Did I touch it in a way that could result in giggling? Maybe, I mean Chi's power switch is in the holy zone. There is always a possibility.
When I heard the giggling, I didn't do the normal reaction which is to jump back and scream for the Ghost Busters. Instead I sat there with my mouth gaping open. The only thing running through my mind was that whoever it was sounded cute. If it was a girl, this would make it my first contact in a long time with the opposite sex. Now I can't say that I believe in ghosts but what I heard was definitely real. I swear to God. Right now, I am replaying the giggle over and over again in my head. This is like something straight out of a novel!
But there are many questions left unanswered. Who's the girl giggling? Why is she giggling? Is it because I'm so handsome? Was she surprised? Why would she be giggling if she was surprised? What does she want with me? Is this a warning? Will a spaceship crash into my backyard tonight? Does she want me to write a novel based on this event? Did she just want to let me know that she was there? Was it Major Motoko? Is Motoko even capable of giggling? Was it because I never brush my teeth before turning on the computer? Why was my flash drive not in its designated place? Is this the start of something new?
I'm not making this up. There was giggling. It was a girl. I did hear it. I said I wasn't ever going to write an entry ever again, but this is too bizarre to not write about. Of course, this is extremely interesting. I can only hope that it happens to me more often. I don't mind a ghost girl living in my computer as long as she doesn't mess with my work. And just what the hell is going on?
For some reason, I'm reminded of Girls on Film by Duran Duran.
