25th September, 2010.

Days come and go. Some in deep anticipation and others in depression, for those long waits to either watch that anime you’ve been eyeing for the longest while but don’t have the time to pursue or to read that manga with the ‘sexy’ protagonists with an intriguing plot line.

Then, there are those days where you want to crawl up in bed and stay all moping or browse through the series once again because the anime/manga series is… *sniff sniff* completed. Or even, jump for joy at that happy ending and try and convert friends to read/watch the damn thing and share your infectious mood.

Who cares if you read or watch an already completed anime/manga? You already know that the end is inevitable, you are prepared for that final scene, the final goodbyes to the characters you now plan to get absorbed with. No biggie. Suck it up, grow a pair and begin.

But, when the series is incomplete and you spend week after week or even months after months and years after years, following, dedicating that release day to sinking back into the world that transfixed you from since the beginning, you know that’s definitely not the case.

Shit happens, sometimes, you just can’t believe it’s finally ended and that where you cry or just shake your head in denial and block out the depressing thoughts. I mean, in my case, dealing with one series ending, yeah I could deal. Seriously, with my track list, hell yeah I could deal. But sadly, this day is different.

September the 25th is a sad day as not one, not two… but three series I look forward to every week/month has finally finished. *cue tears*

1. Kaichou-wa Maid Sama (anime):

A twenty six episode series filled with yummy Usai and hot-headed Misaki. Of course, I’ll miss this series but thanks to the producers, not as much as any other mediocre series. Too much time wasted on the third character (Hinata… pftt, please, like you had a chance.) and lame opening songs (Please can you keep my secret? Yeah, whatever.)

However, I will miss the scenes of them falling in love together but I’ll prefer the manga version to it any day. Still, a loss is a loss.

2. Kateyko Hitman Reborn! (anime):

My heart actually goes out for this series. 203 episodes and now you decide to end it. My attachment to this series is basically it was the first ‘popular shounen’ anime I watched. Still didn’t watch the big 3 yet (Naruto, Bleach or OnePiece), because I refuse to get sucked into some crazy overpopulated fandom when I hear some literally put them all on pedestals and the rest want to burn them in hell. Maybe if someone offers proven claims and reasons, I might give it a try… *wink wink*

But, I’ll miss kickass Tsuna and crazy-eyes Mukuro-sama and badass Hibari as I now move on to the manga. Once again, not too big a loss, but still a loss.

3. Ouran High School Host Club (manga):

Now, this one takes the cake. (Waiter: Sorry, no cake left. Some short blonde kid ate it out. Me: Hunny-sempai…. You bastard!) My heart literally broke. I am officially in denial as I type this to make sure that at least some part of me recognizes that Ouran High School Host Club is done, completed, finished, presto-done-o, and the tears fall.

What will I do now as my exaggerated friends figuratively move on with their lives? Oh woe is… me? Oh God, I’ve begun the Tamaki-withdrawal phase!!

I’ll truly miss the oblivious Haruhi (so like me except I use profanities like most people use toilet paper) and the sweetest boyfriend in the world, Tamaki-sempai and maybe I’ll scan through the chapters again.

Yes, this day has been a trying one. One that I can post away along with my feelings. Time for me to suck this shit up and move on, like these series.

That’s all,
