Welcome back. Last time I got yelled at by Melona and her friends because old blogs have issues. Then Melona also “yelled” at me with her ass. And I escaped. But now finally we’re on road to the mascot area!

: About time, slave! It almost seems we’re trying to delay getting there.

Head

Hair
Kate has light grey hair. It has a slightly bluish tone, but still mainly grey. Notably her hairstyle is quite different, depending of whenever she’s transformed or not. In both cases her hair is long, hime cut-ish and wavy, which is great of course. As Kate she sports two red scrunchies on her long sidebangs and two more on the back of her hair that give her twin ponytails, plus a black hairband. Her Lady Venera hair is even better though, as is a proper hime cut as you expect it to be! Well, except for her two weird rabbit ears-like tufts on top. The points even have a bordeaux gradient! Even if this hairstyle is better having the other one adds variety, so Kate ends quite positive.
Grade: A-

Eyes
Kate has red eyes. Red eyes are my favorite as everyone knows, and hers look pretty nice with really cute pupils. The shape is tareme-ish but she keeps them half-closed most of the time, giving them a great slanted look. They also go well with her two habitual color schemes. Finally, lest I forget as Lady Venera she wears a mask that covers the upper half of her head, looking glasses-like and beautiful. It improves her eyes somehow, ever! Kate is just great.
Grade: A+

Body

Build
Sadly this is another measurement-less series, sucks when they do that! At least Kate looks pretty good and we can tell that much, being an adorable beautiful loli. She is unfortunately a tad bit smaller than my ideal for lolis, but not to a level this is too problematic. Her chest is flat and her stomach slender, of course. Her legs are not amazing, but in one picture they look pretty good. Her feet are cute too. Sadly, her gorgeous Lady Venera costume might show her loli body but she’s not too proud of having one, since she had built a statue of herself that made her tall and busty as Kate suffers from NaCOWleon Complex. Worse, the statue is the first time you see her in the series so it scared me into thinking she’d eventually grow or have an Adult Mode like the lolis from a certain troublesome sequel or something bad! Luckily it was just her complex, but it was still not cool. We need more lolis with DFC pride, for variety if nothing else. She did grow to a giant size once, but it was unsexy so boo that.
Grade: A-

Butt
Kate has a buttshot in an official image. Her behind is nothing special, but hey, at least she shows it. If only her Lady Venera costume included a thong.

Clothes
While Kate doesn’t have a lot of costumes her choices are rather nice. Her Kate regular costume is a red and white cute dress that goes well with her lolish body and sadly the dreaded black LEGGINGS. Boo leggings, they’re like an attempt to mix spats with pantyhose that only fails at being either! Sad part is looking at her discarded designs from the official databook one had PANTYHOSE instead, boo not using that one. As said design gave Kate black hair so boo again not using it. Her Lady Venera costume is amazing, though calling it a costume is rather generous. She just wears two black straps with a white design that come from her neck and turn around her body without overlaps until they connect to her bottom, said bottom that is just frilly black panties, and for no reason two hanging pieces of black and red clothing. She also has a mask, awesome black and red gloves, and black shoes replacing her pink ones. It looks very sexy and looks striking, making her memorable in a great way! She also has a fancy white garb with a nice hat in a flashback. Official art add a white and red bikini and cute and pink pajamas for some variety. Sadly her few costumes and leggings-caused woes prevented poor Kate from a higher ranking, but I love her Venera costume.

Mind

Personality
Kate Hoshimiya is a woman of mystery. Her exact origins are unclear, but she might be related to the ancient Udogawa civilization. They made some wacky things, included tunnels linking Ukraine with Japan. Yeah. Regardless, her will is to conquer Earth in spite of not really being a bad person. Seems she’s a not-evil villainess, which is the reason she gets compared to Leopard from Yoru no Yatterman. Besides both being wonderful lolis I mean. She also gets compared to Takane from Idolm@ster, but that would be irrelevant. Luckily, Kate has ways! Mainly Zvezda, or “Star” in Russian, as they are a group of people that support her. The main base is only about half a dozen people, but there are agents all over. As for why she has many supports, it seems for some reason people just follow her orders and support her, it’s another of her many powers. She also has time, since she’s kind of ageless sorta maybe. It’s difficult as unfortunately the series skims on this. She turns in Lady Venera, or “Venus” the goddess in Russian, though that seems merely cosmetic. And of course the most important thing: Galaktika! No points for guess what that means. Galaktika is her strange-looking plush, and as shown in the story it gives her an assortment of great powers for offense and defense. The most common use is the “conqueror fist” where she smacks her target with a large fist that prints “conquered” on things. The fist hurts.

Leaving those things aside, Kate’s personality is quite unique. She has a childish lolish behavior, not surprising given her appearance. She’s not naïve however, as she shows strong resolve and hard work for her world conquering goal. As said people love her very much, but she also cares a lot for others. For Kate people who eat together are family, so the main Zvezda group is her family. She has a soft sport for Lady Plamya however, as the feeling is mutual and the high school girl loves pampering her. Really only the main guy Asuta is so-so, but he still cares for her. She also loves Galaktika and wants to keep it near her at all times, not just for its weaponry but also for sentimental reasons. Oh, and she really hates people who smoke. The whole smoking thing gets really overblown, the author of the series hates smoking and it shows. He also lets things clear about that in Darker Than Black. I did like Kate asking the man who was trying to smoke in a restaurant if he’d like if she defecated while he was eating. I really would like that! Ahem. I kinda divagated, but my point is Kate is a funny likable girl as well as quite charming. Just not top tier.
Grade: B+

Libido
This one is tough. Kate does give a bit of a dommy impression, especially when she turns into Lady Venera. However, in spite of that she doesn’t have femdom scenes because she’s not that perverse. She has no shame on walking around half-naked thankfully, which helps. Her DFC shame is bad though. She’s also billed as the potential love interest, though Asuta is dumb enough to only care for Renge. As thankfully Renge is fairly likable he’s not a moron, but it sucks he ignores badly without reason the sexy lolihag. At least she’s a bit of a memetic dom, that always helps. In fact the series gets a bit more of that than usual, of course I appreciate that.
Grade: B-

Age
While her exact age is unknown Kate is definitely a lolihag, as she always looks the same in flashbacks. That makes her ideal for my tastes, so there we go.
Grade: A+

Voice
Misaki Kuno has a very cute loli voice and works wonderfully for Kate’s childish yet larger-than-life personality. Sadly she doesn’t speak in a lolihag way as you’d think since it would fit her character type; nope, she speaks normally. A shame, really.
Grade: B+

She was cute, though.. you should team up...

: Phew, after these interruptions we FINALLY got to the mascot area!

Meh, pigs would eat burgers anyway. Though I know this is just Gluttony playing dumb with a disguise... Right, CHITOGE?
