Welcome back. Last week we celebrated the 100th blog poorly, as we recruited Satsuki but forgot to bring the balloons and party hats. Still, with her that makes two Expelled Champions, so we just gotta make the last one join.

: Exactly. ...Wait, what is that box for?

A thing I found. *opens box to reveal a kitten*

: AWW, SO CUTE!

: Zettai, we can’t keep pets in the Nadesico.

: Sorry, but my slave isn’t going anywhere.

...Thanks, Mistress? But don’t worry; I’ll be getting this little girl a home after the blog is over. I just want her for one thing. *hands Hinagiku the kitten*

: ...And what do you expect me to do with this?

: She should be coming soon... *suddenly the Nadesico shakes* What was that?

Voice: <I’m not a stormbringer!>

What was that? *after a long period of not being used, the Nadesico screen lights up to show a pink-haired girl in a tight suit* Oooh, nice.

Voice: Heard Rouge was in the area! I came to salute!

: Oh, hello...



: What an elaborate salute.

: So you waaaaaant me to help, huh? I don’t wanna!

: Please reconsider! Our time is running short, and we need you to defeat Mana!

: I refuse!

Please! We need your help! I’ll even let you slap me and stomp on me and beat me up!

: That’s not a special offer, slave, I do that to you every other day!

: Will you buy me candies?

Of course!

: Zettai, don’t bribe her with candy.

She asked to be bribed, so it’s okay.

: In that case... Maybe if you beat me in a fight!

Sounds standard, but sure! *two girls suddenly slam in*

: Zettai, leave me at her! I feel we share a close bond!

: Me too! We two must face her!

Alright, go at her! Meanwhile I’ll do her blog as usual!

: Let not be said Zettai doesn’t try to spice up the formula.

Head

Hair
Anemone has pink hair, a pretty good color. It’s also fairly long, reaching at around her waist, and unlike Eureka she gets no horrible haircuts! Sorry, this year overdid haircuts. Her hair is also kind of cool in that it “widens” on its tips. Her bands are clearly parted mostly to her right ride, which isn’t bad but is kind of weak. I don’t care for foreheads really, it’s amusing when they emphasize a girl is showing hers but that’s it. I like her golden pins keeping her hair parted, two on her right one on her left. She also has long sidebangs in front of her shoulders, another nice point. Sadly she lacks on different hairstyles, the only exception being the high ponytail she has when piloting. It’s not that great for my tastes and her suit’s hood hides it anyway. Her bangs remain the same. Not bad hair, it’s good but could be better!

Eyes
Anemone’s eyes are purple, one of my favorite colors and a good one for Anemone as it goes well with her pink hair. She has a red “dash” crossing the colored part, barely touching the actual pupil. Much like with Cynthia her eyes are smaller than those of average animes girls but they work out for her, and unlike Cynthia’s Anemone doesn’t have green eyes. She has an unusually long eyelash, but not to a ridiculous point. All in all Anemone has very nice eyes.
Grade: A

: Are you guys coming? I’m boooored here! *camera pans out to show Anemone pilots a black mecha flying in a skateboard*

: Game Start! *launches off in Dominator*

: Oh, you have an interesting LFO... No, I think it’s an Overman... So what about the other girl?

: Here I am! *jumps off Dominator’s hand and grows to a size comparable to that of both mecha*

: ...How did you do that?

: Hey, if Jeffry can, I should be able to as well.

That’s a valid point.

: Aaaaaargh! It’s not! *opens fire wildly in confusion*

ABSOLUTE TERRITORY FIELD! *protects the Nadesico and the still nearby Yuno and Cynthia*

: Leave this to us, Zettai~!

: We can handle this madwoman!

Body

Build
Yet again Anemone has no official data. Yippee-ki-yay. Anyway she seems to be about average in height and in general her body doesn’t particularly stand out. She seems to have a nice flat stomach, and more importantly her chest is flat as well, awesome! Yet another thing that makes Anemone like Cynthia. Shame the fools from ANN cannot appreciate her and call her TOO ANGULAR! Next they’ll say she has too much water in her body. Their loss, I say. So while nothing too amazing I do like her body.
Grade: A-

Butt
Barely shown since it’s not a fanservice show. Luckily her piloting suit is tight enough to provide with a chance to notice it, but it’s not a noteworthy one. Not surprising.
Grade: C-

: Don’t talk about my butt! *fires her claws*

: Heeeey! Don’t throw the butt casually! Besides, you barely did anything! Ahahahaha!

: Are you saying my ass isn’t big enough?

: Let me help! *attaches Dominator to Yuno’s ass and becomes a large butt*

: Ass of Domination! *hips attacks Anemone again with her new ass, dealing much more damage*

: Urrrrghh!

Clothes
Sadly Anemone’s wardrobe is scarce, and by scarce I mean she only has two costumes unless I missed something. At least they aren’t bad: Her white and orange dress she wears normally is cute and doesn’t go too badly with her hair and eyes, while her black tight suit for piloting is sexy and awesome even if it comes with A HOOD! What, is she worried it might rain inside TheEND or something? Maybe the hood has a purpose, but damned if I remember. Still, they’re both nice tho I wish she had a few more costumes. I don’t mean like swimsuits or sexy cosplays or whatever, just MORE for her to wear.

Mind

Personality
Anemone is one of the antagonists in Eureka Seven, being part of the United Federation of Predgio Towers AKA the guys that rule the world. As the pilot of the Nirvash type TheEND she faces the leads and their Nirvash Type ZERO fairly often, rivals have similar mecha you know. Well, similar LFO which stands for Light Finding Operation. Same thing. She’s not piloting it for fun you know, she does it because she’s being forced to. Or rather she was conditioned to become a pilot for TheEND, even taking body modifications to be more of a Coralian. In E7 space corals took over Earth and they can take many forms, included human ones that can interact and communicate with humans, and also have children with them. It’s a long story. She didn’t come off fine from the experiments; in fact she became moody and aggressive, suffers headaches and nosebleeds, and other “fun” things. This is bad to the point only drugs to the neck can calm her, luckily her love interest Dominic is always there for her when the rain starts to pour. Hey, that’s what the hood is for! Success!

As said Anemone has a difficult, aggressive personality thanks to her experiments. She fights in the Nirvash TheEND as mentioned before; she uses wire knuckle claws, knives and lots and lots of beams. Mandatory SRW link, though no knives in it because they don’t show up much. She’s one amazing pilot when drugged up and she kicks the asses of the leads early on, but a plot upgrade and stuff later they start beating her. She gets depressed from that, as fighting is her main job. She also loves sweets, or at least she gets associated to that since her first scene was eating jam straight from the jar with her hands. It was pretty awesome and sold me on her in seconds. In the manga she outright likes sweets in general to make her even more like Cynthia. I’m not counting the manga as I never read it, and same goes for the movie though her role in it sounds weird, but I found this amusing enough to mention. All in all Anemone is a GREAT character for those of us that like weird crazy girls!
Grade: A-

: Excellent, I’ll make him play games with me all night!

Libido
Not too bad, actually, as Anemone’s romance with Dominique is much of their screentime. She slowly falls in love with him, as he’s been always supporting him and being at his side. Given her “difficult” personality he must be a very patient man. Still, they have an unambiguously happy ending to their devoted romance and that’s good. They even KISS, take that KyoAni!
Grade: B

Age
A bit confusing as MAL claims 17, the Wikia claims 16, and Japanese Wikipedia and others say unknown. At times like this I miss the generic schoolgirls. Eh, either way she seems to be in the high school range I like so it’s all good.
Grade: B+

Voice
Ami Koshimizu is a nice VA that gets Anemone’s cuteness and madness quite well. Her laugh in particular is awesome. Fun fact, I’ve covered two pink-haired girls voiced by her before and both scored poorly, so Anemone is breaking a trend here. Not the first Koshimizu girl I praised as Tomo got that first, but it’s cool all the same.

: Fine, I said I would join so count with my help.

: Now we’ve got a winning team!

: Hooray! *kisses Zettai passionately*

: W-Wow!

: Hey, don’t touch my slave without permission!

D-Don’t worry Mistress, it was fine...

: Nothing but idiots...

Cynthia, will you kiss me too?

: Sorry, but I’m not interested on that.

: Are you sure? *flings some raspberry jam on Cynthia and Anemone’s lips*

: ...!

: This looks so...! *Anemone and Cynthia start kissing passionately*

And that’s how Earth was saved.

: ....I’m lost.

: Likewise...

(Some time later)

So what now?

: We should head to Mana’s hideout.

Oooh, sounds exciting! Is it an underwater temple? A flying castle? An underground cavern?

: It’s the Tower of Plot Convenience.

...Again?

: Seems Momo left all her things there, as she had set everything up before her ascension.

: She probably wants the highly-coveted gift-wrapping room.

That fiend!

: At least it’s not far from here, is it?

: No, we should reach it shortly. We’re going as fast as we can, and then some since the world is at stake.

That’s a relief. Mana is all that’s left before this invasion of Earth is over.

: And then go back home! I hope the Sadogers cleaned things up...

What?
