Anime Relations: Tokyo Godfathers, Sennen Joyuu, Paprika
As usual I'm at work and I checked ANN to see if any notable news came up. I was shocked and greatly saddened to learn that one of my favorite anime directors Satoshi Kon has passed away. I really want to cry right now, but like I said, I'm at work. Satoshi Kon directed my two most favorite anime movies, Millennium Actress and Paprika. I have a great amount of respect for him as an artist and it makes me very sad to know that we won't be able to enjoy any more of his gems. Hopefully his final movie, Yume Miru Kikai, will be completed and have enough of his influence to send him off well. Rest in peace Master.

Ahhh, I'm playing D&D/Pathfinder later tonight but now all I want to do is watch Satoshi Kon movies. At least finally watch Tokyo Godfathers.... Hopefully I'll be able to do that sometime soon....

Edit: Gaming ended up getting canceled so Dez and I got to watch Tokyo Godfathers last night. It was a very charming movie. Didn't quite like it as much as Millennium Actress and Paprika, but it was still very good.

I on the other hand really enjoyed Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers more than Millennium Actress, but they are all really good movies and I have come to really appreciate the work of Satoshi Kon and can't wait to possibly watch Yume Miru Kikai.
