This is the Two-hundred-and-thirty-ninth week of using the "Perfect Anime Girl Sheet". Notice: This Blog may contain Unmarked Spoilers.

*A female cat-eared announcer goes up on a stage in the middle of an arena. The stands are filled with all types of characters.*

Announcer: Welcome everybody to the first week of the All-girl Martial Arts tournament! I hope you're all ready to see some blooood!

*crowd cheers*

Announcer: But of course, you're not here to hear me talk about the fighting. You're all hear to see beautiful girls beat each other up!

*crowd cheers*

Announcer: I hear your cries for battle, lets stop stalling and introduce our first match of the tournament. In the West we have one of our two unknown contestants. Her attacks are like lightning, or are they ACTUALLY lightning! Who knows, but come out ZONDE!

*The west gate opens, revealing a hooded female. She flips onto the stage, making sure everyone can see her breasts jiggle. The men in the crowd obviously cheer.*

Zonde: Thank you all. Glad that I could give some service to the guys in the crowd up there. Tee hee~

Announcer: Well, it looks like we already have a crowd favorite, but let's see her opponent! Hailing from the country of Japan and armed with her Akatsubaki unit we have the tall beauty from Infinite Stratos: Houki Shinonono!

: I am proud to support my country and Ichika!

*The east gate opens and Houki, with heavy steps walks into the ring.*

Announcer: Hey, wait a minute. I don't think that it's legal to use a mecha in here. I'll have to ask the board of directors. Hey board, is this legal?

*The mysterious board of directors mumbles to itself up in the official booth, hidden from the crowd. Eventually an older woman speaks up.*

???: It is alright as long as she does not use it as anything else than to supplement her own power.

Announcer: You've heard it here everyone. Using a Stratos is completely legal in this tournament now! I guess that the directors are more bloodthirsty than we are, isn't that right?

Zonde: Do what you want, it makes no matter to me.

: That is quite boisterous for one who may lose this.

*crowd cheers*

Announcer: Well then, now that it's a legal match let's get going! Battle Start!

*Houki starts by getting out her twin katanas and charging. However, Zonde makes no attempt to move.*

Announcer: It looks like Houki started off on the offensive here. Is Zonde just giving up?

*Suddenly, right as Houki is unable to shift her path, Zonde energizes out electrical energy out of her hand. With an electrical punch, Zonde sends Houki and her Stratos flying backward, nearly destroying the mecha.*

: H-How?

Zonde: Foolish human, you should know better than to face a DEMON like me. Even with your stupid toys a human is no match for me!

*Crowd cheers and chants "Finish her! Finish her!"*

Zonde: Oh dear me, it seems that the crowd is with me as well. I guess that we know who the TRUE busty beauty is, right? *purposely jiggles*

*Houki barely stands up in time.*

: I shall not falter against the powers of darkness. Yet, you must tell me, is it because you're a demon that, on your fore-...

*Zonde quickly races over to Houki, delivering a strong gut punch with electrical energy. Houki is hit so much that her energy reserves go down to zero and she spits up blood before going unconscious.*

Zonde: Well, that's that. I guess that I'll be able to take care of Topaz easily at this rate.

Announcer: W-wow! I've never seen such a surprising upset before! Zonde, the mysterious female and crowd favorite, beat the mecha wonder Houki in MINUTES! We'll go to our next battle shortly, stay in your seats everyone while we get the next contestants!

Zonde: Ahaha, I'll see you all next week! *Zonde jiggles her breasts for the crowd once more. After, under her breath, she whispers "such an easily swayed crowd..."*

=== Meanwhile, in Topaz's room ===

: Topaz, it's time to get up! Wake up!

Mrrrmmm... just five more minutes.

: Topaz, the battle before yours is DONE, you can't sleep any longer! Get up Topaz, get up!

*still sleeping* he he he.... That's what she said... Zzzzz

: Is it really going to come to this then?

: You've lead me to this then!

*Riri stomps hard on Topaz's crotch, waking him up!*

: I knew that a PIG like you would wake up from that.

*clutching groin* I think that, errgh, ANY guy would wake up from that.

: My apologies if I hurt you, but match is going to start in a few minutes! You don't want to let Kusunoki down!

You're right, I'd better get going! *attempts to race out, but is stopped by Ririchiyo.*

: Topaz, you can't just run out there! It IS an all girl's martial arts tournament, people will notice if a guy runs out there.

You don't mean...

: Yes, I think you know what I'm planning...

=== Time Passes ===

Announcer: Well, it seems that we have both of our competitors, FINALLY. That Topaz nearly missed her own match by oversleeping and just made it here before we forfeited her! But enough delays, let's announce our next match!

*Crowd cheers*

Announcer: First off, in the west gate we have the latest entry in the competition, could she have a problem telling time? Or is she purposely doing things late for dramatic reasons? Either way we have the tardy girl who claims to be a guy, Emperortopaz!

*The gate opens, and out walks a very awkward figure in a long dress, sun hat, and high heels. However, halfway through walking "she" trips, eventually throwing her heels away and walking the rest of the way in her bare feet.*

Announcer: And it seems that we have a special occasion as well. What's this about blogs, Topaz?

Well, you see I do blogs and since today was Thursday I decided to do one here.

Announcer: You hear that everyone, Topaz is going to do a blog here! Let's give him a few cheers!

*Crowd cheers.*

Announcer: Now, let's see your opponent! Over at the East gate we have "The Carnivore Who's Discarded Womanhood", Chie Satonaka!

*The gate opens and out comes a brown-haired teenage girl in a green tracksuit. She goes up to the stage already in her battle stance and bounces back and forth on her legs, seeming to be unable to hold still.*

: I told them not to call me that, jeez!

Announcer: Now, whose ready for the next match between these two boyish girls? Hopefully we'll see lots of blood and DISMEMBERMENT!

*Crowd cheers wildly*

Announcer: It looks like everyone's excited, let's start the match! GO!

: This should be a piece of cake. I've heard of you Topaz, you've had no martial arts experience except a montage of training. While I don't think that Ku Fei is a bad teacher, there's no way that you can block my attack: Assault Dive!

*Chie makes a flying kick at Topaz, but energy flows within him. His teacher's image shows up in his mind...*

*And surprisingly, he blocks Chie's attack! She leaps away before he can counter.*

: No, there's no way that you could have blocked that kick! What kind of abilities did you learn?!

Only one... Mimicry!

Announcer: Surprisingly Topaz was able to block Chie's devastating hit with his own strength, despite looking like a frail girl. What is this new ability that he's speaking of?

: There's no way that you could have learned my abilities that quickly. What do you mean "Mimicry"?

You're right that it's not your power that I'm duplicating. My training with Ku has actually lead me to develop my imprint ability as an offensive weapon. Now I can use the abilities of the latest girl that I've done a blog on. And since the last girl I blogged on was Ku...

*Topaz emulates Ku once more.*

EXPLODING HELIX!

*Topaz swings his fist at Chie, hitting her with an explosive blast. She gets knocked back and wounded, though she stays on her feet*.

: *Cough cough* Nice hit! Wait, you only gain the abilities of the latest girl you've blogged on? Then I can oppose it by asking you to blog about ME instead! At least that way I know I have a fifty/fifty shot at defeating you.

That is a good idea, and it'll please my fans as well.

Announcer: It won't be pleasing the audience here though, as it looks like Topaz is planning on doing a blog instead of fighting.

Oh, I'm sure we'll fight plenty.

Today's girl is:

Chie Satonaka
from
Persona 4

Head
Hair: The first thing that most people notice about Chie's hair is how short it is. It's a very boyish hairstyle and her hair doesn't even reach her shoulders. It does cover her ears though, as well as being angled to the right. I do like the color though, it's a nice light brown color and matches her eyes well (usually). Overall it's not a bad hairstyle and it fits her personality. I just prefer long hair, even just having it shoulder length would have increased her score.
Grade: C+

Eyes: Much like Yukiko back when I blogged about her, I was a bit cautious about Persona 4 due to how the eyes are designed. They're almond-shaped much like a real eye, and Chie's eyes are likely almond-COLORED as well! That said, I do appreciate the eyes a lot more now. That said, Chie DOES also have a lot of eyelashes, and the dot-like pupil doesn't do her many favors (the dot is harder to see on Yukiko as her eyes are black/grey themselves). There's also another version of Chie with yellow eyes, though I like the brown version better. I know that it's supposed to look unnerving, but it's not a color that looks good with Chie's personality.
As a Persona 4 playable character, Chie of course wears glasses inside the TV world. They are a nice pair of full-frame glasses which I admire, but again the yellow color isn't the best. I do like the various stripes near where the screw is or so, they add a bit of nice color.
Grade: B+

Face: Chie's face, like I discussed in Yukiko's blog, is not in an art style that I get all that excited for. She has sharp features and is done in a somewhat-realistic style. She also seems to have smaller cheeks, though not too bad as you can still make out some curve to her face. Her nose is also pretty noticeable as well. That said, her facial features did grow on me and I do find her nice to look at. She's not ugly by any means, especially her subdued smile. Her smile only seems to affect the corners of her mouth, making it look shy and cute. She also has a lot of various emotions through the series and many of them look nice.
Grade: C+

Body
Build: Chie has a somewhat modest body, though more often it's hidden by a somewhat-baggy track jacket. I will say that she has nice hips and waist though. I do like how she's not too muscular too. Another major point to look at are Chie's legs. They aren't all that shapely, nor are they as impressive as Yukiko's (as Chie's legs are bare compared to Yukiko's pantyhose). Instead, Chie's legs are POWERFUL. You see, Chie is one of the two main physical damage dealers and due to her practicing martial arts, a lot of her attacks are based off of that. One, Galactic Punt, is even a One Hit Knock Out if it activates. To reinforce that Chie is a "kick" girl, she even uses boots/greaves in her weapon slot.
Chie's official measurement is that she's 158 cm tall (5'2"). Her weight and three sizes are unknown, however.
Grade: B-

Breasts: Chie has a modest chest, befitting her being a martial artist. After all, breasts will likely only get in the way (though in some other shows they're a source of power). She isn't FLAT of course, and she probably does have more than an A cup (if not much), just to make sure you understand. And to be fair I don't think that large breasts would suit her that well either (it would give her more points sure, but she's fine as-is).
Grade: C+

Clothes: Chie's usual outfit is a green track jacket (with the collar up on her neck as well), a grey skirt, bike shorts, and short socks. The jacket also has yellow stripes going down the zipper and sleeves as well as multiple buttons on the chest. In addition, it's unfortunate that there's no real scenes of her butt (not that I mind as Persona 4 isn't a fanservice series, but it's sort of a waste to put her in bike shorts). Overall it's not anything impressive, but it does give Chie her "green/gold" motif. In summer, however, she is seen wearing the school's standard summer uniform, having wrapped her jacket around her hips. The outfit looks to be a somewhat standard sailor uniform. On days off, she replaces her uniform with a white top and underneath two colors: one black and white stripe and second a blue top, with high collar lighter green jacket with purple crystal necklaces, navy short shorts, and lighter green boots. Her summer outfit consists of a green tank top with a floral pattern as well as a colorful wristband at each arm. At the summer festival she wears yukata, and other outfits include a green and gold two piece bathing suit, a towel, a blue track jacket, and a green tanktop.
I'm not a big fan of her outfits, but I can't deny that it doesn't suit her personality. She's not known for being feminine and her outfits show that. It is sort of unfortunate that we couldn't see her in something like a gym uniform though. Also, as questionably canon as it is, in the Arena game she wears a color scheme that relates to some other Persona/fighting game characters. These include Yukari Takaba (Pinks), Jam Kuradoberi from Guilty Gear (Reds), and Makoto Nanaya from Blazblue (Orange).
Grade: B

Mind
Personality: As I've said, multiple times, Chie's big character trait is that she's a tomboy. She likes a lot of masculine things such as kung-fu movies and martial arts in general. She even taught herself Jeet Kune Do! She has trouble being feminine, which is explored further in her social link in the game, but it IS obvious that she's still female. She's not intentionally trying not to be feminine like some female characters, it just ends up that she looks out of place compared to someone like Yukiko (more on that later). One thing that she especially has problems with is cooking. She doesn't have a specialty (such as being bland or too spicy), she just can't cook. It's somewhat unfortunate as Chie loves to eat. To be more specific, it's became a thing that she loves to eat meat (steak in particular). It got played up more so in the later games than the original though. Other than that, Chie is an upbeat, energetic girl that is normally friendly and cheerful. She does have a short temper at times, but I really wouldn't consider her to be a tsundere. She's not smart, but she's no idiot either as she's able to come up with a lot of solutions and the subjects she's good at are usually high marks. She's also attentive and supports the investigation team with suggestions that, despite her own disbelief, turn out to be correct.
Chie and Yukiko are both close friends, with Chie herself being like a body guard to keep guys away from Yukiko. However, Chie eventually becomes jealous of her friend's natural beauty and talents. She also felt like she needed to control Yukiko as well, and those two things are what her shadow self is built off of. After defeating her shadow, she joins the party and symbolizes the "Chariot" card. Her abilities include having low to mid-range Ice spells, but she specializes in physical attacks. During the Chariot social link you learn a lot about Chie, such as how she and Yukiko met and how she wants to protect others. In fact, as you go along you see her protect various people from bullies. Eventually, in the normal ending, Chie even becomes a police officer so that she can protect the town even more.
All of the Persona 4 characters are great, or at least well developed. You get to see Chie slowly embrace her feminine side while still being able to be tomboy-ish. I really like personalities based on gender differences and the like, so I do like her. I will say though that she's not my favorite or even second favorite female in the series though. I did like her more than I was expecting though. In addition, both Yui Horie (one of my favorite VA's) and Erin Fitzgerald do a good job with Chie's voice. Yui especially sounds cute, but both aren't trying to hard to be masculine and make Chie come "alive".
Grade: A

Libido: Chie, like Yukiko, is a potential romantic candidate for the male lead in the series. She even spends Christmas night over at his house, lying to her parents that she's at Yukiko's. However, I like to imagine her and Yusuke, the secondary male lead, get together. I will admit that it's partially due to their relationship with each other (that I'll admit isn't always friendly, but they make for good rivals) and partially due to wanting to pair up the leads. You could also potentially consider her and Yukiko together, but that's more of a knight/lady pairing than a romantic one.
Grade: B

Age: Chie is between 16 and 17 as she ages through the course of the series. Her birthday is July 30th, so her birthday is about halfway through the game (approximately, at least). Her official birth year is 1994, which is odd as the game came out in 2008.
Grade: B+

Total Grades: 70
Average score: 7.8
Final Grade: B

: So that's all this "blog" thing was? Hah! Even IF you have my powers I'm going to kick your butt for saying all those embarrassing things to me!

Announcer: *yawn* Oh? Is Topaz done being boring? I didn't come here for a lecture, I came to see girls beat each other up! Now let's see some BLOOD!

: Don't mind if I do; Black Spot!

*Chie attacks Topaz with her powerful skill, but misses only to have Topaz fling her to the ground.*

You seem to have forgotten your own skills. Don't forget that you happen to have "Counterstrike", which can reflect physical attacks back to the user! And since all the skills you've used have been cutting into your hit points, I'll easily finish you off with this... Bufula!

*Topaz uses an Ice spell, but it doesn't hurt Chie."

: You fool, while our talents are the same, only I was smart enough to wear a Fluffy Muffler to nullify ice attacks!

I thought that scarf looked suspicious! You shouldn't even be able to equip that though, you're not a moogle, wild boy, or yeti!

: Wrong game, idiot! *to self* Now, I only have once chance at this, I'd better make it count...

: Revolution!

I don't know what skill that is, but since it looks like a buff one I'll do the same thing. POWER CHARGE! Now when I attack you next you'll take much more damage.

: Unfortunately, there won't be a "next turn" for you! Go forth my ultimate technique: GOD'S HAND!

*A hand comes out of the sky and smashes into Topaz, dealing a critical hit for 125 damage and knocking him down.*

Okay, so you've knocked me down. So what? You're only delaying...

: Follow-Up Attack:

No... y-you wouldn't... not here... I...

: GALACTIC PUNT!!!!

*Chie charges at Topaz and gives him a kick to send him flying.*

Looks like Topaz is blasting off agaiiinnn *sparkle in sky*

*The crowd cheers for Chie winning the match.*

Announcer: WOW! We have the unlikely winner Chie win with a DEVASTATING kick, sending Topaz out of the stadium and flying even further than we can track! I guess that's what he deserves for boring our audience with that silly blog of his! Good job, Chie, you're moving up to the next round!

: *jumps in celebration* That was nice for a warm up, I can't wait for the next round!

=== Meanwhile, in the stands ===

: Wow, that looked like it hurt. Now I feel bad about stomping him in the crotch before the match...

: Don't worry too hard, he had the defense to block such an attack. Though I do find that Chie's friend Yusuke's phrase of a "critical hit to the nads" to be a fair assessment of how this latest fight went. Poor Topaz, hopefully he lands somewhere soft...
