Supanova Day 1
Anime Relations: Pokemon
Well, I woke at 4am and waited till I was able to wake everyone else at 5am then left to get the 6am train. The trip for me takes a little over an hour and a half. When we finally arrived we were pretty close to the front which is why we left so early. We waited in line and I just watched as the line grew and more cosplayers showed up. Within an hour the line was huge and was still growing. We got our wrist bands and I continued to watch the line grow. While waiting I found Olivia and met her! She is awesome! The 2nd PopAsian I have met in person now, it was lots of fun. There were some pretty cool cosplayers, my fave would have had to of been the Pikachu that was walking around, it was really awesome! I got a hug from him and a photo too.
Eventually the line got too long so they started to let us inside at 9am and it was also starting to rain so it was a lot warmer to be inside now but we still had to wait behind the barrier till 10am so we just talked and took photos and stuff. Eventually they opened the barrier but a little late because they took their time clearing the floor of safety issues. People cheered and there was a flood of people and even though I was right at the front of the crowd it was hard to be able to go in the direction I wanted to go but I eventually made it through.
The first thing I did was buy my Neko Mimi! (Cat ears) that I've wanted for a very long time. I bought a few pairs. Then I went to the bathroom and put one pair on! Was so happy to finally get them! I can now wear them whenever! Yay! After that I went to the PopAsia booth but they weren't there so I looked around and always came back to PopAsia to check but didn't see them. While doing this I ran into Olivia again who was doing the same thing so we walked around together for a bit till I said bye and stopped to look at some stuff. So from there I continued my endless cycle of looking and checking PopAsia. Eventually some other film crew took over the booth since PopAsia wasn't there. Viv then started texting me and she said they were near a cafe. I knew where she was talking about but it was so crowded there I couldn't see them >.< so I went and looked at more stuff. At 4-ish I went to see if I could see them where the cosplay was being help since Jamaica was going to be a judge. I saw Jamaica and MegaMatt from a distance but I couldn't get in because the line was too long and the seats all filled up. MegaMatt did have his hair spiked and sprayed yellow like in DragonBall Z, it was pretty awesome! Unfortunately the cosplay contest was starting and my friend wanted to leave so I couldn't stay which made me extremely sad, I almost cried because I wanted to meet them that badly. It was one of the only reasons I was so excited for today actually. So I never got to give MegaMatt his gift and I had also managed to get a small something for Jamaica too but wasn't able to go see them and I don't think they're there tomorrow so I guess I'll have to wait for another time which makes me extremely sad but I'll get over it eventually.
I was disappointed that there wasn't much manga being sold this year. I had planned on finishing some series but there was literally only 2 stands, one very small at Kings Comics who usually have a tone of manga there but didn't this year and the other was Madman who don't have a lot of the versions I want or are behind me since I usually buy from shops in the city who get the manga same time as America instead of a few months later. *Sigh* Guess I'll just have to wait to complete some more. I wanted to get some more DVDs too but only Madman and Siren Visual were selling them this year and they're so expensive >.< argh, I might get a couple tomorrow but I'm really not sure, I'll see.
So we left around 4.30pm-ish or something and since I actually had money left over for once even though I bought a tone, I bought me and my friend some McDonalds for dinner while we waited for the train home even though I didn't really want it but I didn't want to have to make something when I got home either. I'm very fussy. Had to catch a taxi home tonight once we got off the train since mum is working, got home around 6-ish I think, not too sure.
Oh, also just remembered that I saw the stupid Dalek from Doctor Who, I hate them so much and this one which I'm only slightly taller than always follows me >.< it's so annoying! It talks and everything.
Tomorrow I will be getting things for some of my friends, some are birthday presents and others are for my close friends, especially Rosie because she always buys me awesome stuff randomly without me asking. I will also be trying to get my signatures from Vic and Stephanie because the lines were huge so I didn't feel like going and standing in line today. I'm sure this year was way more crowded than last year, I could barely move and I'm small! I hope it's not so bad tomorrow.
