There’s an extremely unique streetwear store that's trying change the game. At first glance, DopeHut.com looks like a well-designed but traditional e-commerce website. After just a little browsing, it becomes obvious that store is far from traditional. From the homepage towards the philanthropic business design, this company is bringing a great deal of innovation towards the industry. Will this small idealistic company become the desolate man independent fashion?

DopeHut’s business design is dependant on helping independent brands run and grow easily. The website supplies a combination e-commerce and warehousing service especially devised for independent clothing brands. Brands send their goods to DopeHut’s warehouse, and DopeHut ships out all orders. This allows customers to acquire from a variety of independent brands while still purchasing in one store. The system works like Amazon.com’s Fulfillment program only for indie brands.

DopeHut’s service could be what precisely artists and independent brands happen to be anticipating. This service is excellent for designers and artists that want to grow a brandname while not having to stress about running a warehouse. However, DopeHut’s service is not open to anyone; only certain brands are accepted. “It’s by pointing out customer experience. At the completed during the day, could customers don’t want to be bombarded with products they can never want. We won’t sacrifice the consumer experience to generate a couple extra dollars” says Felix Cheung, founding father of DopeHut.

The corporation has recently began to bring innovation towards the shopping online experience. When first landing in the exact location, they make sure you notice their “Product Feed.” The feed acts just like the Facebook news feed or Twitter timeline, but rather than your friend’s pearls of wisdom, the product or service Feed shows a consistent stream of dope clothing. The browsing experience put in at home but smooth. I can easily see this feature becoming increasingly addictive when they increase the products and features.

DopeHut doesn’t seem satisfied in mere generating a splash in independent fashion. The company offers to donate 50% of most annual profits to charity. DopeHut states its goal should be to generate a company that “does good” rather than “do no evil.” This proposition sounds too good actually was, nevertheless the owner seems intent on so that it is work.

“We’re not going to run this provider by using things as they are. I believe this country was built upon chasing and creating a great. I am devoted to making DopeHut one particualr company that is targeted on giving returning to society, yet still be competent to grow like a business” says Cheung.

Although idealistic, the property owner understands the difficulty of his task. “The difficult part seriously isn't achieving the best but to make it sustainable and everlasting; the best would need to withstand pressure from shareholders, media, and trends” says Cheung. When asked whether this business model is actually a reaction to Occupy Wall Street, Cheung replies

“This company was shaped from the same frustration on the system for the reason that Occupy movement. The DopeHut philosophy is yet another reply to corporate greed. But ebay philosophy was created way before any Occupy Wall Street tweets. DopeHut wishes to cause change by creating a successful example for other businesses to go by, not by causing change through politics.”

This independent business is setting many lofty goals. I choose to stay skeptical with a lot of idealistic companies claiming to accomplish good. However, Lets hope the corporation can follow its promises and make a platform for independent brands to be successful. I also hope DopeHut proves that must be possible to actually merge philanthropy and business. You never know, maybe the best is achievable.
