Hunter x Hunter (Chp6, Ep6 (part 2) & Ep7 (small part), Ep3 (part 2) & Ep4 (part1)
Anime Relations: Hunter x Hunter, Hunter x Hunter (2011)
I am now continuing my coverage of Hunter x Hunter and comparing and contrasting the old and new Anime adaptations to the actual Manga, among other things. My first entry, which covers Chp1, Ep1-2 & Ep1 (part one) is here.
Chapter Six ~ Manga
We find out that Tonpa has tried the whole laxative thing on other people, all of it not working, including Killua drinking a bunch of the stuff and being fine. While he is thinking this, there comes a ring and Leorio gets up the determination to continue, having dropped his suitcase. Gon rescues it for him.
Episode Six (part two), Episode Seven (small part) ~ Original Adaptation
Well, as I said in the last entry, Tonpa giving people the laxative in the drinks is censored from the original adaptation. Because of that, how people are introduced is different. Nicolas walks up to the group and makes fun of Tonpa, but doesn't reveal his other nickname to the group. Tonpa points around to other people, and you see some of the newbies, and you see the Ninja dude telling someone other then Tonpa the details. The place where Gon rescues Leorio's case is actually moved into a bunch of filler, which I will cover in the next blog entry, because it will cut down spoilers for the next chapter.
Episodes Three (part two), Episode Four (part one) ~ New Adaptation
Again, the actual episode from this episode followed things quite well.
Opinion
Again, the adaptation in the new version is more accurate. There is some stuff that was rearranged in the original adaptation due to censorship issues and need for more filler, which added to the time in the original.
Score: 1-5; 0-6
