Dream Sequence: Watching a Fight
OK. Imagine this. An underground enemy that appears to be slimy in nature are mobilized. Another interesting characteristic of this enemy: it has the capability of duplicating itself, like amoebas. However, their cloning can be done at will.
So, the mainstream public actually acts on it and launches an army against this enemy via a single "basement" cave entrance. As media cameras show the battle, the battle results show an absolute failure as the surface army was decimated by the cloning power. Members of the army were decimated in groups in a battle within the underground cave. There were no signs of retreat.
Since then, access to that basement entrance has been forbidden.
Part of me was still compelled by that basement entrance. I wasn't interested in going down there myself. But, it must remain as an open option, rather than a closed one. So, I threw some kind of machine rover down there. Although, I didn't have a remote; so I don't even know the purpose of that thing.
But then, I found myself about to walk down some steps towards it. Someone asks me, "Hey, are you finally working for a minute?"
That question was a clear snarky comment on my work ethic. And it is a valid one, I might add. Furthermore, the person asking turned out to be Andy B, an old school buddy.
Slightly offended by the question, I take a few more steps towards the basement entrance. Then my friend Chris N stopped me. "Don't worry about it," he said. So then he turned me around and walked me away from it.
And that's that.
