Too close
On June 25th I nearly died.
I was sitting at my desk, next to the window during a thunderstorm. While I was playing on the computer, A bolt of lightning hit outside my window. Less then a feet away from where I was sitting. Within a moment I became blinded by a bright light, at that instance I heard a powerful explosion, that seemed like a gunshot or a cannon fire. It occured in an instant, It was one of the most overwhelming experiences in my life. My body was so afraid that I instantly began shaking and wasnt even able to talk nor scream. I have never been so afraid in my life before. After short of me standing in awe, I began to smell a powerful smell of burning fill my room. After that happened in fear and desperation I ran to the center of my living room, distant from any and all objects and stayed there praying for hours till the storm ended.
