These both take place in the Qin Dynasty of China about kids traveling across the land to become stronger Differences: Qin's Moon is Chinese made and Kingdom is Japanese made, Qin's Moon is about defeating Qin Shi Huangdi and Kingdom is about his rise to power

Both take place in a fantasy setting of ancient China. Yao Shen Ji and Qin Shi Ming Yue are both Wuxia type stories. As such they have characters and martial arts styles and schools based on the Wuxia genre. Both protagonists hide great power inside of them.

Both series take place in a fantasy setting of ancient China. They both deal with spiritual/mystical powers. In Qin Shi Min Yue the focus is placed on Wuxia martial arts and inner strength, while Reikenzan uses Cultivation. There are different factions in both stories, The hunderd schools of thought in Qin Shi Min Yue and sects in Reikenzan, which sometimes are friends, enemies and rivals of eachother.

Both series are centered around martial arts and spiritual powers. Both main characters have great powers, but cannot use them due to limitations. Both have good action scenes.

Both series take place in a setting with mystical and spiritual powers. Both are made in China and take place in a fantasy/historical fantasy setting of ancient China. In both series the protagonist is destined for great things. The path/story of the main character is influenced by their family (parents) and in both series the main character does not know this.

Both series are centered around a character with an ambiguous background. In both series a central storyline is the destiny of the protagonist. Both characters posess great power, but cannot access or harness that power due to certain restrictions. Both characters are mocked and seen as talentless and undeserving by other characters (mostly those of antagonistic or rivalrous nature)

Both worlds are based on ancient China. Their clothing and attire are basically the same. Both anime talk of how to strengthening the country and its people as well as how to live a righteous life. Qin's Moon are more gear toward the view of the Martial Arts world while they resist against a tyrant ruler, while Saiunkoku Monogatari approach in how scholars, retainers, and military officials help their wise emperor rule the country. There are certainly romantic subplot in both, but its never the main focus of the leading character's life. Although the two protagonist are different, they hold important roles that may affect the  read more

They're both action-based stories that speak of swords and different types of swords with names, and some of the fighting styles are quite similar.

They both are involved with other worldly strong sword fights with many special effects.

The protagonist's personalities are quite similar, that they both want to be strong and they're both quite rash, as well as that they both talk about the meaning of true strength. Also, both have one on one combat fights at some stage, as well as it's a story about a journey of a young boy who is destined for greatness and will eventually become a very great hero.

As I was watching these, I got the same impression out of both of them; that action and fantasy feeling which drives me crazy. Though the characters may be different, I still loved each and everyone of them. The characters aren't the same, but both characters, in this case Tianming and Hakuowlo, have companions following them through thick and thin. Tianming's and Hakuowlo's companions follow them through the war that's beginning to occur, and other events I shall not spoil for you. Watch Utawarerumono/The Legend of Qin, I promise you that you'll love both of them.

Both are historicals based in ancient china. Qin's moon is more focused on martial arts while Souten Kouro's action focuses on military type or sword battles. They are both very interesting and contain deep theologies but Qin's Moon might take some getting used to due to its 3d animation. I hated it and even now I still don't like it but I got used to it since the story was interesting. I definitely recommend watching both if you liked either one of them.
