Exactly the similar kind of manga getting adapted. Four-koma manga with a focus around something, just one thing that is funny (mini 28-years-old teacher and taciturn girl.) Similar style, pace and humor.
Scope of this kind of story may be narrow, but skilled writers can make a lot of jokes out of that one thing using the settings and supporting characters. Characteristic of good short comedy and four-koma.
Art direction of the anime is also exemplary similar. Simple outline, simple painting, low detail background, characters with simple but distinguishable looks.
