Yuri Seijin Naoko-san

Well, there isn't much to say about this.

Yuri Seijin Naoko-san is an evidence that the legacy of FLCL lives, whether it's in the high speed gags, whether in the what-the-fuckism that goes along with the episode. The voices are very funny, and I was a little pissed to know that there wouldn't be any more episodes of this (the stand-alones always depress me).

I truly recommend this to you, although the feeling of emptiness in the end may cut your genitals [spoiler!].

....What did I just witness?

I've seen quite a few strange animes like Kanokon and Hen Zemi, but this is one that's truely... Bizzare. I mean don't get me wrong: Having a fox girl chasing around a little boy is weird enough, but having a tenticle producing, camra recording, trenchcoat wearing moelster alien chasing around a little boy seems to take the cake.

I mean, good god! This 6 minutes seems to make everyone say "WTF just happened?" It's so strange and bizzare that you feel like you've entered a real-life twilight zone! So much so, that I'm still having a hard time figuring out what just happened.

Here's what everyone should do: Watch the anime without looking at the sypnosis and form an opinion on it. This is something that can't just be overlooked just because it's 6 minutes long. It needs to be watched by as many people possible just so that we can figure out exactly what this anime is.

Is it good, bad, or something so bad it's good? This anime is something that needs to be identifyed by all of us as an anime loving culture because it feels like there should be a place for it in our culture.

Now we, as a culture, have to decide where that place is and whether it's a good one, or a bad one. read more
