Ok I've watched close to 80 different anime, all types, and one thing I've learned is that you cant judge until you watched the whole thing. However, when I heard of "I Love My Younger Sister", I was skeptical. I mean, there are some messed up anime out there, but a story about twins not wanting to love each other as siblings but as lovers? Now thats messed up, but when I saw reviews and thought about it I decided, "What's the harm?". And when I finally watched it, Wow! What a amazing story! Ok, it was beyond depressing, but it was still really good.

Okay this is my first ever review written so please bear with me if my review writing skills aren't top notch. I was compelled to write a review for this OVA as the ratings of other reviews confused me as whether this was a outstanding OVA or mediocre. So here it goes:
Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru is I'm in Love with my Little Sister in english and from the title we can already see where this OVA is heading. The story doesn't incorporate many different elements to fully flesh out the story however considering the length of the OVA it is very much ... Mar 26, 2008
Im not sure much is to be said about this story. To be honest it was a bit generic. "Sweet innocent lil sister or in this case twin sister, he loves her, he struggles with it, she comes to realize it. Oh but what about Kami-sama!
They get over it..screw the gods, make out, the end." Not to say its not a cute story and the art was pleasent to the eye. The music was also cute ,but theres wasn't much to it. Its pretty short so i guess that shouldve been my first clue not expect too much. Check it out on youtube if ... Jul 24, 2007 Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru This is a great film, although it plays only in 50 minutes, but the satisfaction is there, despite of the title " we all know i love my younger sister" is not acceptable but when u are there watching, there u can say on that spot i will give consideration for yori and iku..... this is not really a disgusting film that "twin brother and sister are havings ex with each other" but here u can feel what love is, and what love is all about i wish, they will release another episode of this film, i ... There's a reason incestual relationships are rarely taken seriously in anime. It's a hard subject to portray with sincerity, and if not handled properly can be the source of contention among the viewership. Boku wa Imouto runs into that exact problem doing a poor job of selling it's authenticity and even worse of providing the viewer with any meaningful takeaway from the topic as a whole in society.
The characters, to put it bluntly, are awful. Yori is a moody brat with rapist tendencies who repeatedly forces himself onto the person he claims to love most of all. Iku has no will of her own, ... Dec 28, 2011
Please don't bash me. It's my first review.
Anyway, the reason I rated this so poor is because I'm sick of cliche romance. It's not even romance, it's just a the strong desire to have sex. The story revolves around the stereotypical smart, popular(ish) anime guy who thinks his sister is hot. He doesn't even love her, he just wants her body. Sex is fine, but my kind of sex is after marriage. Besides, these people are way too young! It just annoyed me to no end, and I could hardly stand it. I don't mean to spoil anything but the ending didn't satisfy me, so I ... Jan 24, 2022

I don't care what you have to say about this movie and how it's immoral to be quite honest. The first time that I watched this was the Live Action version when I was still very much a Christian and either way I found it to be one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. The story isn't something of gross sexual perversion, but rather a boy who really did fall in love with his sister, she was his perfect woman, and just so happened to be his fraternal twin.
I'm not very good at writing reviews or anything, but all I have to say ... Aug 8, 2012
'Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru - I'm in love with my little sister' is a very serious and dramatic anime. In fact it doesn't even behave like an anime. There's no overly ecstatic or some other anime-resembling intro. No slapstick comedy, no weird over the top situations. Everything here is taken absolutely seriously. Think Koi Kaze, but with more drama.
It's hard to believe how well this anime does at conveying the feelings of the characters to the viewers, considering we're only given a single 49 minute OVA episode. I'll remind you - this is NOT a movie. The story revolves around twins ... Mar 23, 2017
You might imagine that an anime dealing sympathetically with incest would be quite original, deeply psychological, an enthralling drama...this series isn't any of those things. It is a shallow, pandering heap of rubbish. The unhappy couple are a moody, selfish, unsympathetic wretch and a revoltingly twee, thoughtless moeblob. Cynically presenting these character qualities as a double sexual fantasy really gets up my nose. Sexual fantasy characters need not lack genuine good qualities, but a pair constructed without a single one are particularly irritating. Their incestuous passion is never explained and barely analysed, giving the story the depth of a puddle and reducing the characters to

Beautiful storyline, beautiful art, beautiful love... This whole anime was just perfect! I'm really big into the whole taboo plot whether it be incest, yaoi, yuri, or teacher-student relationships... it all works and this was my favorite incest story because Angel Sanctuary didn't really satisfy my incest fetish, Koi Kaze was close... but this was totally skyrocketed!
If you enjoy this anime then you should DEFINITELY check out the manga because I read the manga before the anime and it's still being released with new chapters so it goes WAY beyond the anime. Jan 2, 2016
Honestly, I hated this anime. This anime is just revolved around SEXUAL ATTRACTION between siblings. There is no love. Even though the title is translated to "I Love My Younger Sister", there is NO LOVE.
Story: The storyline was HORRIBLE. Like I said before, the title is "I Love My Younger Sister", but honestly, all he really wants is to have sex with her. Basically, the whole anime was how much he wanted to have sex with her. I felt no connection between them at all. The story itself did not take much originality. It probably wouldn't have taken a lot of time to ... Jun 3, 2021
It tries a lot to be a serious story, which is likely the main appeal for most people who seek this out as a romance, but it often feels like a cringe fever dream. The characters are really generic, not only they have no depth, but they're morally questionable (and I'm not talking about the incest) and change their attitude wildly as the plot needs it; this in turn makes some scenes comical due to how contradictory their actions can be. Ironically, their parents are more likable than themselves.
The dialogue can be pretty dramatic and cheesy, it is on par with what you'd expect from ... Aug 22, 2015
Boku wa imouto ni koi wo suru, which can be translated as “I’m in love with my little” sister brings to us the controversial topic of incestuous love between fraternal twins. This subject will probably upset those with strictly religious moral values or at least those with anything against incest. This anime tells you the story of Iku and Yori, two fraternal twins of opposite genders, who despite being incredibly close to each other during their childhood started to grow apart as both grow up due the forbidden feelings Yori has for Iku.Finally, Iku gets a boyfriend when Yori had in mind to study abroad.

This has to be worst thing I've ever watched, not even 5 minutes into the OVA and it gets weird.
The title is interesting because surely they're not incestuous, they are. The brother is so weird, he's overprotective and sexualises his sister to no limit. The title lies he doesn't love her, he wants her in a sexual way. The pair are the most boring and overdramatic main characters, they just boil down to what they are. INCEST. I don't know how either them think its good to want your sibling in a weird way let alone your twin. Another thing is the god awful ... Aug 12, 2010
This is one of those shows you have to the manga first then watch the ova second. I watched the ova and i got lost so quickly. The whole thing is about an older brother falling in love with his sister. To others this was gross but to me it was sweet yet ironic.
The story is well devolped but if you want to understand the plot more i reccommond you read the manga first. after i did this i found the story more intresting, because now i could fully understand why yori loved iku and the background behind it all. Also if you hate brother/sister ... Jul 14, 2013
Oh my what can I say about this. Just normal relationship with Yori and Iku even though they are siblings. The story is so cliched and boring and I feel that it is not right to have sex before marriage and it is even worse when it comes to siblings. Siblings should not have sex or get married. The art is very dull.
Now, moving on to the characters. Iku is really the most annoying person I came across in this anime. Her voice is so annoying which almost destroyed my ears. She is whiny and a crybaby. I just can't believe Mai Nakahara did annoying ... Nov 7, 2015
How to describe Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru . . . This was purely a fan-service piece to say the least. Is it bad that I secretly enjoyed it?
I didn't read the manga, if there is one; I simply stumbled upon this. Still, in regards to STRICTLY THIS FILM, the plot leaves little room for development and what is there is slightly underdeveloped. The characters go from one extreme to the other, and the relationships in this film are too heavily focused on the sexual aspect, not necessarily on the development and blossoming of love or otherwise. Nevertheless, I can't help but ... Jun 21, 2014
"Haters will hate", that is for sure. If you are against incest and screaming "Yuck, disgusting!" every time you hear anything about brother-sister love, then don't even bother. For those who like forbidden love (which is really touching, it brought tears to my eyes quite a few times) this anime is highly recommended.
I will not go deep into the plot. I can only say that since I watched this anime about 4 years ago I've rewatched it at least 10 times already, recommended it to numerous friends, read the manga and am still waiting for an anime sequel to come. But that probably won't happen... ... Apr 2, 2015
Okay, before I start, I stopped mid-way between it. I couldn't watch it anymore, it just got weird and I couldn't lock my doors... so if someone walked in, that would of been the most embarrassing moment of my life. So, I watched about 20-30 minutes of it, and for what I've seen, It's uh... kinda weird.
Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru follows the story of a teenage boy named Yori, about 18 years old who is in love with his younger twin sister. Sounds weird, right? But, it doesn't stop there. His relationship with Yuki was much better when they were children, but ... |
