Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo: Anata to Koibito Tsunagi

This is my first review :) also please don't mind my mistakes-my English is not that good.

This review is based on the 1st OVA(as it is not known yet if there are going to be more)

Story:

Well...the story is not entirely shown as it is expected that you first played the Visual Novel(this is based on the 3rd Sono Hanabira game - as of now, 3rd of August, there are 8 games out and one in the works- a total of 5 couples + another one that will be announced with the 9th game).How Mai and Reo got together is shown during a flashback Reo has.The OVA shows JUST one of the scenes in the Visual Novel.It is about the time when Reo had a cold + a bit of their first time in the infirmary. This being said the fact that the whole story is not presented to the viewer can be considered a "-" point, but 80% of it is present. One does have to keep in mind that this is a Hentai OVA which is based on a Hentai Visual Novel Series.


Art:

Art is very cute and nice but at the times the point of view changes suddenly.The colors are nice and the Mai and Reo are well drawn.They made it in a way that sticks to Peko's(the artist of the Visual Novel) original art.

Sound:

The voices are not the ones in they used in the Visual Novel so for the ones who played it they might sound a bit strange but otherwise they fit the characters perfectly.

Characters:

Both Reo and Mai's personalities are 90% like in the Visual Novel.It's just that Reo is not that tsundere and Mai is kinder...well not sure if 'kinder' is the word...it's more like she's not as pushy as in the Visual Novel :)

Enjoyment:

The OVA lived up to my expectation and I must say I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Overall:

First, I liked how they focused more on the cute romance between the 2 girls rather than the sex scenes.
Second, the art was faithful to Peko's original CGs.
Lastly, the sex scenes were cute and well done(though as I mentioned, some of the scenes changed abruptly-it's not that noticeable though)-they take up almost 80% of the OVA. This is one of the few yuri-only OVAs that are great(other than this I only know Shoujo Sect)

Just got done watching the first episode a few hours ago, and I have to say, it was better then I thought it was going to be.

First off, this is based of the visual novel Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo ~Atashi to Koibito Tsunagi~ (Title is very obvious) which is the third visual novel of the series. You may be confused on who the characters are and how they met.

Story: If you haven't played the game, the story line may be a little confusing, Hell its confusing to me, but after the flashback, things started to make sense. Two girls like each other and will do anything to help one another. Minds roam with indecent thoughts, and that's where the Hentai Scenes come into play. There is a part of the story where there is a flashback, it kinda shows how they became more then friends, which made things more clear.

Art: Watching the OVA, I've noticed a few scenes look a lot like the CG from the visual novel. In the OVA, the artwork is softer then the CG, but is beautifully drawn to give it it's adorableness.

Sound: I'd imagine the characters voices are not the same, most Hentai Visuals to Hentai OVAs tend to have different voice actors. (Confirmed, they are different from the Visual Novel) The acting is done wonderfully.

Character: I know nothing about there personality from the Visual novel, but have been told they are quite similar. Both Characters love each other very much and will stay by each others side. One is shy and the other is a little pushy. If one is sick, the other is willing to nurse her back to health (Even if it means getting a little sexual).

Enjoyment: Originally, I was in it for the Hentai scenes, but after a while, I was in it for the... what's the right words... It's cuteness. Soon I was going "Awww, that's so adorable." I loved it. Side note, the Hentai scenes weren't bad at all, but they are censored (Some of you reading this just went, "Damn it!").

Overall: All and all, I thought the episode was cute. This is one of those Hentai series I would get for the story line and not just for the H scenes. Hell, playing the first visual novel, I knew this had to be adorable. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for "cute personality" characters and good Hentai scenes. read more
