Exactly the same except the setting is more exciting with Uta no Prince Sama because of the idol settings.
Typical harem shoujo where each episode shows a story of heroine and of the guys
Both series are reverse harem: many cool boys who casually and inevitably fall in love for the same girl.
As well both anime have been realized after their game, still both share the same school life genre and have a great art.
Both are recommended! ♥
Both are otome games, both have cute guys who surrounds one girl, they're pretty much the same except in plots :)
The artstyle and the feeling (athmosphere) are pretty similar
Similarities:
Both were a reverse harem.
Both have school and romance genres.
Both characters wore ridiculously gay uniforms.
Both characters look gay.
Dissimilarities:
SS has more bishonens than UPML.
The chiquita (female lead) in SS is more confident and open minded than the chiquita from UPML.
The school uniform in SS looks more gay than the school uniforms in UPML.
Both have reverse harem as theme and in both most of the boys have something they're troubled by, like their past for example and the heroine is always there to cheer them up.
UtaPri was an interesting anime. If you like reverse harem i suggest you watch both. Starry Sky was cute and since all of the guys in both had a different personality to choose from, i'm sure you'll find a character you like

Both series have somehow a strong zodiac-related theme in the story.
Fruits Basket introduce characters as part of the Chinese Zodiac, while Starry Sky introduce characters representing each of the Zodiac Star Sign.
Is quite interesting seeing once again an anime facing this special thing which is the zodiac.
Still, both anime are shoujo genre and reverse harem: a main lead girl surrounded by handsome amazing boys.
And both series share a very sweet atmosphere ♥
If you liked one of those, i highly advice to watch the other too ;3
Both have people who represent each of the 12 Zodiacs.
Furuba is based on chinese zodiac but S.Sky is based on star zodiac..umm..yea i think thats how i explain things, anyway both are related xD
In both, the characters each represent the zodiac characters. In Fruits Baskets it's the chinese. In starry sky it's the star constelations. Both are reverse harems.

Cute guys in a high school setting who happen to have their lives revolve around one girl.
Both anime are shoujo and romantic themed.
Both series are reverse Harem: meaning a main girl character surrounded by a lot of beautiful awesome boys.
The atmosphere in both stories is very cool, plus both anime give a well developed background for every character which give to the pubblic a better understanding about their personalities.
Both share a very unique and pretty good art style for the character design.
Also, Starry Sky has a cast of many famous Seiyuus while Host Club is litterally a masterpiece for shoujo-genre lovers.
I highly recommend to watch both :3
LOTS of bishies. One girl.

Similarities:
Both are a reverse harem.
Both female leads functions more like a 2nd lead or a support lead than a primary lead.
Both animes are Bishonens fan service.
Dissimilarity:
One is a full length anime while the other is a short ONA.
The female lead in YNSH really has romantic feelings for one of the male leads, while in SS, the female lead has romantic feelings for all the 12 male leads.
In YNSH there were only 4 Bishonens , while in SS there were 12.
And, in YNSH, the female lead is quiet a handful for the 4 Bishonens, while in SS the female lead is game for the 12 bishonens.
Both are reverse harem, but, SS has more bishonen than YN.
In YN the female lead has a main role , while in SS the female lead is more of a supporting role.
Bishonens in both animes have rather a girlish look .
One is more of an ONA, while the other one is a full 25 episode anime.

both these animes have revers harem where the main girl is surrounded by alot of guys they both have romance in them and the art looks the same :)
Both anime are filled with eyecandies --- those are the bishounen male characters. Additionally, both stories are set in a school which is centered in a certain field. In La Corda, the school is a music school where the students play various instruments while in Starry Sky, the school specializes in astronomy.

Both of them are reverse harem.
Starry Sky personifies the constellations, while Miracle train personifies the train stations. Both have lots of bishies, but only Starry Sky has the romance aspect.

If you liked the star gazing concept in Houkago no Pleiades, it is done much better in Starry Sky.
both involve stars although "Houkago" seems to be about all girl and one boy "Starry" is about all boys and one girl they are also both short episodes(less then 22 mins)

Reverse Harem! One girl surrounded with many bishies!!!
Different epoch (sengoku age / modern age), different main theme (samurai / school), but despite this they still do share some basical other trait:
- Both have been inspirated/realized from videogames, and only later made actually into anime.
- Both face a very big part of the story leaded by a reverse harem idea: the main female character is surrounded by awesome and handsome boys, which save her and make her developing love feelings.
- Both are shoujo genre ♥
So, that said, go ahead to watch, 'cuz if you liked one of those yet, you'll surely enjoy the other!

Reverse harem in small arcs. Miracle Train has a 1 guy for 1 girl that needs help. Starry Sky is 1 girl who helps out 13 guys in 3 episode arcs. Though most of the episode focuses on some past trouble of the male and then suddenly the girl helps them just a bit to alleviate some kind of burden.

|
The main female leads look extremely alike and are surrounded by men , and the animation of these two shows are similar overall. Both animes have a lot of bishies as well.

Both are Reverse Harem + Wonderful Bishies
Arcana Famiglia - Tarot Cards
Starry Sky - Zodiac Signs, Astronomy
|
|
|
The way episodes unfold and the story movement are similarities. Similar character block.

|
|
both have lots of bishounens and both deal with t he personification of certain hings:Hetalia with countries and Starry☆Sky with the astrological signs

Goodness knows I so far have been the only one making recomendations for "St. Luminous Mission High School". The best way to put the reason why I am recomending Starry☆Sky and vice versa is the fact that they have a simular feeling to them. They make you feel like you are thinking deeply.

One girl surrounded with many gorgeous bishies!!!

|
hello starry sky is directed by Kiyomo Sayaka who also worked with Vampire Knight and they have the same art style!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus i love both animes!!!!!!!!!!

Both have really pretty animation and GORGEOUS boys. The shows don't have very much story, and are more about the pretty characters and the [somewhat goofy] things they do and say to each other. Uraboku has some supernatural action, and is darker, while Starry is about school life.
Overall, they feel very similar, so, like one, like the other.

both deal with the 12 zodiacs impersonated, even though in fairy tail they have a more minor role. its funny how the Leo in both series is voiced by the same person :D
