Synopsis

In a near future, the world's population has decreased dramatically due to a deadly virus that terrorized the whole planet.

Now people eat only synthetic food and tend to avoid as much as possible any form of physical connection or "real contact" with living creatures. Real shops have disappeared from the streets, and with the exception of the community centers (what were once called schools), people communicate with each others exclusively online.

But even in this tightly controlled and systematized society, there is a group of young girls who actively pursued real contact. And when a string of brutal murders emerges, their challenge to this closed world is just about to begin.

What to say what to say.
First I hope that you guys can forgive my English since it's not my native language.

The anime:

As I read the synopsis I was thrilled, it felt like an awesome idea. But as soon as the anime started it started differently as the synopsis said it would. Well I kept watching and got a bit annoyed by the main characters. Hazuki is really insecure and not even funny, sexy or cute. I had no resemblance to her in any way. The other characters were boring, not even interesting. Myao is that typical anime girl who fights and kicks ass but we read more

Animated by Studio I.G. which is superb when it comes to making science fiction settings. They rarely create likable characters though; they feel like robots or generic puppets most of the time. It worked fine for Ghost in the Shell but it is iffy in all the rest. Directed by Fujisaki Junichi, whose only other work was Blood+. Not much to say about him, other than he likes to direct dark and violent shows with schoolgirls.

The setting is the only interesting thing I can find in the whole film. It has to do with a future society where peace has been established and the read more

I'd like to clear up a few things about Loups=Garous.
First of all, I'm 99% sure Kono Ayumi (the blue-black haired character with short hair and yellow eyes) is a boy, not a girl--because he is always referred to as a guy in the movie. (But Wikipedia, My Anime List, and I think even the back of the DVD case say different, so don't quote me on that--but I'm pretty positive that if they talk about him as a 'him,' then he's a boy)
Secondly, everyone has given harsh reviews and scores about Loups=Garous. When I started watching the movie, I based it on the 6's people read more

Saw this on Production I.G.'s work list for 2010 and got curious.
The story revolves around 3 young girls and a teenager caught in a world where monitor's have replaced real contact (not entirely). Hazuki (One of the young girls) has a Communication dissorder. Another young girls calls herself loups=garous, another is a pretty good hacker and the teenager is a fighting machine.
And this is where the anime movie goes wrong
You can't just put ideas together without a coherent story.
The emotions are there, the action too, the characters (undeveloped), the setting , but it just doesn't add up to a whole.
Very dissapointing. The loups=garous itself is an easy read more

Future cities where the lives of people seem to be completly all right, only for there to be some dark, deep secret. The art style of both series is along the lines of gothic. There is also the slight element of school, whereas school is mentioned, even though it isn't very important.
In a futuristic setting, both Psychic Pass and Loups=Garous carries a theme involving a society being controlled by a higher power/system.

The characters from both series strives to solve mysteries and murders with their own lives at risk. At many instances, there's a sense of isolationism as well as antagonism by their society itself.

There is also science fiction themes packed with some action.
Futurisitic societies where people isolate themselves from each other, the series deal in the long run with a secret that revolves around exploiting females and stopping said exploitation.
Both are set in future where seemingly utopic society works after large population reduction, but the dark truth is hidden from young protagonists who try to unravel it facing many challenges, expecially the challenge of doing so and not being caught by some form of supervision over them which is present from the beggining.

If you really liked or fell in love with the brown-haired main girl from Loups=Garous and liked her cuteness/shyness and looks-like-she's-gonna-cry personality, then I highly recommend that you watch Girls und Panties—I mean Girls und Panzer... The main character has the same short brown hair like the main chick from Loups=Garous. Plus, her personality is cute, shy, lonely, and in need for affection.

So bottom line: If you "fell in love" with the brown hair chick, go watch at least the first episode of Girls und Panzer. Oh, and this girl tends to blush, so you'll see your female friends blush too.
A group of girls killing, death of a friend and great art
