Their journey, however, will not be easy as their remaining enemies put out all the stops to make sure that they do not accomplish their goal.

This TV Anime depicts Volumes 36-56 (end) of the Inuyasha manga. The story continues from the last moment seen in Inuyasha's original anime. Inyuasha: Second Season Review -

To a man who completely watched every single Inuyasha episode known to man, I want to point out that this here is one of the most miraculous things ever.

Story - The story takes wherever the last story picked of. I found this to be much better than the 167 episodes the original one took place. The psychological impact of the story stunned me to no end, making me marathon this over and over again. Truly amazing. 10/10

Characters - Out of all the characters in this series, Kagome evolved the most. Not to say that the others stayed the same, but read more

InuYasha: Kanketsu-hen, or InuYasha: The Final Act, is the final segment of the show that has taken the anime world by storm in 2000. The first, long, season of InuYasha was incredible when it comes to storyline and character. Everything was engaging!...except the ending of it. Having such a long air-time and not have a proper ending to it was a real downer. InuYasha: Kanketsu-hen puts everything into place, and tears in some viewers' eyes ;)

Story (10) Definitely one of the more in-depth storylines in anime. The show takes you back in time, well it literally does each time Kagome goes through her family's well, read more

Inuyasha: The Final Act is meant to continue where its early 2000s prequel had left off in the continuing plot of Inuyasha and his allies trying to stop Naraku and his plans with the Shikon no Tama. I might as well address the major issue with this series first that comes in the form of its pacing. A good chunk of the anime is quite notable for rushing through many of the major events of the series from the manga, which include cutting out, rearranging or altering key scenes. This has the negative effect of reducing any time that could be focused on how said read more

This is going to be short. I'v actually never written a review on this site before.

That being said. This series is blowing my mind. I was always a bit of an Inuyasha critic. The recycled story lines and sub plots turned me off a lot. I watch this out of pure curiosity and found myself deeply emotionally involved in it. Several episodes nearly made me cry for characters that I had pervious lacked interest in.

The series was definitely a massive improvement from the original seasons, and it is refreshing to fans and non fans alike. It is highly character driven, though there is read more

Kenshin and Inuyasha belong to an ancient japan. Both use swords, and both have two girls!! One of the past, and one of the present. Both have also a similar quantity of main characters.
Both are in my top favorite anime list. Both include an ordinary teenage girl who gets transported into a medieval era type world with strange creatures where they must fullfill a destiny. Yokko is a high-schooler though, while Kagome is a middle schooler, the demons in Inuyasha are replaced, but monster called Youmas in Twelve Kingdoms, most of which can't talk, instead of the "demons" being part human, there are people who can turn into animals. In Twelve Kingdoms, Yokko yields sword, while in Inuyasha, Inuyasha wields a sword. Kagome gets transported to the world to save it from a sacred jewel shard that gives demons power, while Yokko must become Queen of one of the kingdoms in order to save it from corrupt officials. Juuni Kokuki is more political and doesn't really have a romance element, but it is still really good.
Both have similiar graphics and great history :D
Keeping all-long distances, Fifth Kara no Kyoukai movie and Inuyasha's last season hold similar development storylines, specially to both ends. ;)
Both protagonists have a "useless" human tagging along with them for one reason or another.
Both use swords bigger (or longer) than they are
Both have some kind of super power (wind scar, backlash wave etc while Shana has flame of heaven, her fire wings and exceptional detection of "intent to kill")
Both are very fast protagonists (combat wise)
Both have emotion issues and don't understand a lot of things (like how to treat a member of the opposite gender for example)
Both have an excessively powerful enemy which has hordes of different enemies (Naraku's incarnations and Bal Masques army leaders)
Both have time traveling, but Fushigi Yuugi is based in China, while Inuyasha is in Japan.
