In both series the characters must participate in a cruel game and defeat one another, and the last one standing is about to obtain enormous power. However, things don't always go as planned. ;3

Both anime involve mediums and their familiars. Both involve fighting, though the animation styles and undertones are much different. Both have tsunderes and strong female characters.

- Magical battle royale; - Mystical atmosphere; - Dolls; - Trying to reach out to the higher being; - Themes of manipulation and free will; - Themes of perfection, flawedness and all-consuming envy; - Nightly, but not grim; dramatic, but not dark. This applies not only to Traumend, but to the whole Rozen Maiden story.

Wel... where should I start? The relationship between Shinku and Jun (Rozen Maiden) and Ciel and Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) are somehow similar, because they both have a master and slave relationship. Both series also present themselves as a dark anime, which they aren't except in the end. Both animes are filled with a lot of humor. The plots also don't match with their manga.

Basically the same basis to the storyline - human paired up with magical girl get into fights all with comedy rubbed in.

Rozen Maiden season 1 and season 2 and Magical Girl Raising Project are both similar in that they involve magical girls who have to compete against each other. Raising Project has a lot more violence and blood, but both shows get darker and more dramatic as they progress. Recommended if you like survival anime shows with girls!
