Both are about a human that get surrounded by a harem of beautiful female monsters. Also the women are the ones that are fighting in both instead of the man.

Story line, plot, magical stuff, haremish.
Both are supernatural with alot of girls, ecchi and comedy.
Both are ecchi/harem anime with high school male protagonists surrounded by supernatural (Omamori Himari)/alien (Asobi ni iku yo) females. Both anime also have some fights.

Both have nearly completeley useless male protagonists, both are Harem, both have an animal-like person....
main character allergic to cats
ah ah ahceww
both are ecchi and harem series. both about number of girls with magical power and ability and serve/help the main protagonist.
fighting, magics, girls, haremish, both are quite boring tbh.
Similarities:
Same school, action, romance, ecchi and harem genre.
Same situation where the MC has no idea who he is.
Same situation where most of the harem would be living in the MC's house.

Dissimilarities:
One has an extra, mecha, sci-fi genre, while the other has supernatural as its extra genre.
Similarities:

Both have the same school, magic, supernatural and ecchi genres.

Both muchachos (male lead) have childhood friends who literally takes care of them.

Both have the same situation where the a mysterious magical girl approaches the muchacho (male lead).

Both have the same members of the muchacho's harem whom would at first be the enemy before warming up to the muchacho.

Dissimilarities:

The chiquita (female lead) in one anime is a tsundere while the other chiquita (female lead) from another anime is a tease.

The chiquita (female lead) in one anime treats the muchacho (male lead) like shit, while the other chiquita from another anime treats the muchacho (male lead) as her master.

The childhood friend in one anime is sweet, caring and has big bouncing melons, while the childhood friend from another anime is also caring towards the muchacho but always displays jealously and has pancakes.

The chiquita (female lead) in one anime relies on the muchacho for an extra boost of power when fighting or using her magic, while in the other anime the chiquita (female lead) may not rely on his master when she's protecting him, but she does depend on him to keep herself in check.
Both are about a weak willed man who get surround by beautiful big chested women.

Both have the swordmanship and Hirakawa, Daisuke as VA for the main protagonist.
Both have a unexpected Plot Twist
A great Mix of Ecchi, Drama, Romance and Action

Both contain some epic ecchi awesomeness.
"I'm so weak, but I want to protect you." to the "I'm such a nice guy" and all the overly exaggerated harem with a samurai girl. They're like the same thing! Though they switched the loli samurai with the big breasted "normal" Girl.
Both shows have plenty of ecchi, a healthy amount of comedy, and some satisfying action scenes.

Omamori Himari has a little more action and To Love-Ru Darkness has more ecchi.

However, ecchi enthusiasts will not be disappointed by either show.

Similarities:

Both have the same, harem, school, magic, fantasy, romance and ecchi genre.

Both have the same situation where the chiquita (female lead) moves in with the muchacho (male lead) both at home and at school.

Both have the same situation where the muchachos (male lead)are sleeping with the chiquita (female lead).............literally, with no sex involved.

Both muchachos (male lead) are nice guys and have magical abilities.

Both muchachos (male lead) would find themselves being in danger with other members of their harem before they become part of their harem.

Dissimilarities:

In one anime the chiquita ( female lead) can sometime be jealous when she sees her master ( her male lead) being with someone else, nano. While the other anime the chiquita ( feale lead) doesn't display any jealousy towards the muchacho.

The chiquita in one anime is a foreigner (from Italy) while the other is from Japan, nano.

The muchacho in the other anime can actively use his powers, while in the other anime the mucahcho's powers are dormant.

The antagonist in one anime are compose of deities, while in the other anime their antagonist are gods.

The chiquita in one anime have bigger boobs than the chiquita in the other anime.

Omamori Himari and Nurarihyon no Mago are both extremely similar. Why? Because they both are based around the theme of ayakashi. In Omamori Himari, the male protagonist Amakawa Yuuto is the one that inherited the Amakawa family's powers, but does not want to be a Demon Slayer. Similarly, in Nurarihyon no Mago, the male protagonist Nura Rikuo is the grandson of Nurarihyon, the supreme commander of the Nura clan (the dominant clan), but does not want to be the one leading the clan.

They both eventually meet a lot of comrades, and accept their fate. Although Nurarihyon no Mago does not have elements of Ecchi or Romance, it is extremely similar, and both talk about the co-existence of both ayakashi and humans. Though Nurarihyon no Mago is generally more serious and has more action.
BOTH contains youkai , sword wielding characters , supernatural, romance and comedy. However omamori himari contains good ecchi

Spirit Girls who fight evil spirits, the main female characters have similar features, and they are both really powerful, and they are always protecting the main male, but the male doesnt want that, he wants to protect her
Both series have action based story with ecchi/comedy scenes. If you enjoyed one, you should try the other one.
They both are comedy, harem.
And they have kind of the same comedy, so if you liked Omamori Himari then you will like Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead much more :)
Ecchi comedies that leave some room for the serious stuff. Additionally, both shows have the same director and fantastic character designs.

Oretachi has more slice of life and psychological elements while Omamori Himari has more action.
like i said it in my other recommendation but this time the main character uses some of his power to fight but it doesnt show that he uses his powes because he rarely uses it
Both are harems with the same male lead voice actor (Daisuke Hirakawa). Omamori Himari is more of a romantic comedy while School Days is more like a soap oprera.
Just like the Anime , Omamori Himari Have 5 Girls , and some thing with Magic .
and Characters are pretty much Similar .
well , as the story progresses new characters come up .
and well they all fallen for the protagonist
and protagonist has a godlike skill xD
Both of them have: Ayakashi, Guardian, Girl with Animal Ears, Mystic Powers
Both have story and character similarities.
Also the genres are very similar.
Both of these shows themes are cat based or in relation to cats in some form or another. These animes have the same characteristics with a heavily fanservice ladened story line. There is no plot at all rather the objective is a mere precursor to douse the anime with more fanservice.
Boy protects girl and girl protects boy... in master-slave relationship!
Both are typical comedy/ecchi/harem show with a lot of ecchi scenes and fan service
The plot is somewhat similar where enemies will end up being a part of the main male's harem
Main character is boy who look not special (but he actually is special) and this boy has a big harem ^^

well, the guy who is loved by all the girls in the anime, although "Omamori Himari" is a lot more echi based than "Hayate no Gotoku"
Both are rather light, funny shows about supernatural powers with an important romantic thread. Both have really nice graphic and are perfect to watch during summer break^ ^
Both has a group of girls protecting the weak male protagonist
These stories are, in fact, pretty much the same:
1.the male leading character has a memory loss caused by some sort of magic interference that occured when he was still a child;
2.there are two girls who share strong bonds with the protagonist since his childhood, yet HE is unaware of it, since he has no memories of that time left;
3.one of the girls is a demon-like creature with big, or rather, HUGE breasts;
4.the other one of the two girls is a tsundere and an only heir to their family business[though in OH it is demon exterminating, and in G-sama N-kun it's a financial corporation], which makes them serious and responsible ;
5.the protagonist has an important promice between him and th tsundere, which he cannot remember till almost very last episode;
6.the surrounding of the three consists of both normall humans and supernatural creatures;
7.of cource, ecchi/fanservice scenes, thousands of them.
the same contents; comedy, echi, martial arts, romance. and all the girls in the anime love the main male characters, and they would give their lives to save him. Also, he is somewhat skilled in martial arts.
