Both are vampire shows intended for female viewers where a "good" vampire hunts demons, although in Nightwalker the hero is more on the humans' side whereas Miyu does what she does for her own reasons, without getting too involved with humans. The Miyu art is prettier also, but Nightwalker has some eye-candy and also the high-school girls element.
both are about good vampires hunting demons and Shido kind of reminds me of Larva. they are also pretty episodic

This anime is similar because the main character who is a vampire helps to protect the world and or humans from evil creatures of the underworld. Also the main male characters in both the animes seem to have the same attitude style.

In both animes the main character is a rather laid-back guy who has to fight monsters as a part of his work. In both animes the main character is accompanied by a girl he has to take care about and a female who comes to help from time to time. In Nightwalker, though, the characters are vampires.

both have a scene with a guy on top of another guy on a bed. :D
I know that's a weird recommendation to make but these two anime just seem similar somehow. Maybe because some of the characters are similar. both anime have a pretty useless brown-haired female characters

Descendants of Darkness and Nightwalker are detective stories in which supernatural heroes must hunt down dangerous demon-like creatures. Both are dark horror tales with a rather fast pacing and action oriented. In terms of character development, these titles focus on immortals that were time human at one point. Descendants of Darkness has a memorable villain that eventually lends an arching plot to the story while Nightwalker remains mostly episodic but both share the same tone and mood.

Both of these has to do with vampires going out and hunting creatures of the night..also a similar theme is that they both hate themselves for being what they are...

Vampires(NightWalker) versus Horror(Le Portrait de Petit Cossette). One might think I went insane when making this recommendation.
They're both dramas, in their own ways. And they both contain a sensible taste of romance. While Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is a much more crude, bloody version of the less dramatic NightWalker... they both give me the same feeling somehow.
As if they were supposed to be on the same category... a tad of drama, romance, and a load of mystery.
