both got a lot of action, its about ninja clans, both got really cool techniques. And both are creepy when it comes to monster. Both got 'immortal' bosses and rape scenes. In short both are good
Either Basilisk was influenced by Ninja Scroll or the had the same source material, because a few of the techniques can be found in both, as well as some names. Of course that means whichever one you see second will seem unoriginal, so space it out. They're both very good.
Ninja ninja ninja and more ninja :)
Ninja style with mature content cool fights and detailed characters. Be sure to check it out!
About ninjas =)
And love.
Blood and nudity ^^'

if you like samurai movies this may be a good pick too
Similar overall feel, being both movies about samurai (or ronin, in the case of Sword of the Stranger) on a mission, along the way facing off against a near invincible foe. Sword of the Stranger is grounded in a more gritty realism, but the action and characters aren't as jaw-droppingly cool as in Ninja Scroll.
'Ninja Scroll' and 'Sword of the Stranger' are both movies that feature gory, over-the-top action with fantastic art and animation. If you feel like seeing a ronin battle his way through a group of diverse antagonists then you can't go wrong with either of them.
Fun fact: Koichi Yamadera plays in both movies; though he's the hero in one and the villain in the other.

another great ninja/samurai full of action anime
Ninja Scroll is a classic among anime movies, and has an interesting plot and series of twists that makes it fresh even today. References within the movie itself stay obscure, and it has this subtle flair about it that reminds me of Afro Samurai (or rather, Afro Samurai reminded me of this). They both complement each other to fans, while still being exotically unique and fresh in their own right.

Lot of blood, lot of real good fighting scenes and action, lot of interesting characters - this is one of those titles which are considered classics.
Think of it as MUSTSEE if you want to know seinen's origins.

they both have strong female characters.

Tons of blood, gore, and nudity. A lot of the villains in both share the same powers, and the art styles are very similar, which makes sense given the director.

After schoolboys and girls samurais and ninjas are the most common characters in anime. Their life sometimes became really hard. They have to chase different type of strange creatures and of course kill them in a very strange way. Both these films tell us about a drab existence of doughty Japanese warriors. Destroying everything on their way they find by the way their true love and reason for being.
Put it in a nutshell there are two equal stories about main hero defeating everybody clamoured against them. You also could enjoy love stories in Yoma and Ninja Scroll resembled me Kenshin OVA. There are no any superfluous words and emotions. Artwork is a one more reason to put these films together. Pictures in dark shades, bloody and realistic sank you into special emotional state as well uniting these stories.

The suspense is similar, and both are very violent and feature deadly super powers and special abilities. Also, the plots have some similarities, although the settings are completely different.

Has very similar art style, similar story and just the overall atmosphere reminded me of Ninja Scroll.

Both are full of action...

|
Both of these anime show brutal deaths and unnaturally skilled samurai.....
|
|
|
Both anime's feature fluid action with copious amounts of blood.
Kurozuka feels like Ninja scroll with vampires.

It have a little touch of the gore and its also a kind of feudal times in Japan. Kind of the samurai type that just likes to kill
