In both anime the main character changes to older girl by magic and becomes singer/actress/photo model/..

Fancy Lala and Creamy Mami are both Studio Pierrot Magical Girl series about young girls who are given the power to transform into an older girl and become idol singers. Lala is sort of like an updated version of Mami

A girl meets two fairy likes creature that give her the powers to bring the drawings to life. Yumi creations usually are used to solve some problem and the show has a more episodic nature while in Fancy Lala, Miho uses her power to help her stablish a career as an idol.

Well both are nostalgic anime from childhood, and both are still "old school" (before years 2000) Both are "Majokko" types: having a female heroine which uses her magical power to transform into an adult version of, possibly, herself. Besides the fact that the transformed adult versions of both main characters (Lala and Emi) are quite similar even by look, both are singers, quite famous ones, and very much appreciated with lots of fans. Yet they share all the same genres: Comedy, Magic, Shoujo. I think that if you like the Majokko genre, you should give a try to both of them, as they both worth it :3

Apart from the fact that, like most Mahou Shoujo are episodic, there is something very similar between these two anime: Both show that it was not just the protagonist who gained magical powers, but also male characters who have already gone through this.

in the source novel for nhk, the protagonist's neighbor yamazaki is a hardcore otaku who regularly blares anisongs in his apartment. while the pururin song is the only example of this displayed in the nhk anime, multiple "real"-world anime songs are referenced by the novel, one of which is the op for the phenomenal late 90's magical girl series fancy lala. anyone who related to yamazaki or wants to understand the character's tastes better might as well try fancy lala, but fancy lala fans might see something of themselves in yamazaki--in his more positive and healthy characteristics, I'm sure.

Both of these involve children that want to be something else. Granted, Princess Jellyfish is older than the main character in Fancy Lala, I believe that they both still have the same problem, they want to be someone else.

Fancy Lala and Hime-chan No Ribbon are both mahou shoujo series that aren't heavy in the "magical" area, but are still quite girly. The two series are more focused on the daily problems we face; and they show that life isn't easy, even if we have magic. I definitely think that both titles have a similar direction sense. There's some hints of romance, and the main characters are both naive, but strong-minded. Hime-chan No Ribbon and Fancy Lala will give you a great lingering impression.

Both instrument or materials, are granted by fairies (and dinosaur) that makes magic. (I think)

Both are relatively fresh magical girl, slice-of-life shows with their doses of romance and cute strong-willed female heroines. CCS has more action though, while FL has more drama.

oh... I think its with the fashion!! yeah... both are kawaii heroines having fashion overdrive... in fancy lala, she uses sketches.... while in love and berry, they use cards [like card captor sakura only for changing costumes] ^_^ if you like fashion more than anything these are for you ^_^
