Both these animes have great music, lovable main characters that are infailable gunmen. Both of these animes have some of the best gun martial arts, and gun fights in Anime.
Both very similar but this is set in space! You won't regret watching this.
They are both similar Anime, but the way they are presented is different. in my opinion trigun is better though, because of the mood of the story. the soundtrack is pretty good but not as good as cowboy bebops
If you liked the humor and action in Cowboy Bebop, You will surely like Trigun - Lots of guns, shooting and great jokes.
Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are both similar in the sense that they both have a western kind of feel to them, except one takes place in space and one takes place in an actual desert setting. Both animes have a very cool, laid back main character, but they are both different in their own rights, too, in that Trigun's main guy is very emotional and a pacifist with the insane luck and the main character of Cowboy Bebop is a bounty hunter, with amazing luck and skill, but they both have very horrible pasts and very different outlooks on life. Each episode of the anime revolves around a different bounty hunter story or a different story about helping people in a different town and every now and then they throw in some real parts about the storyline, hinting at both the past and the lives of the other characters, but it's mostly about the main character and their views on life, their pasts and they both have guns, insane main male characters and awesome fighting action scenes with a lot of humor sprinkled in.
Even from the first episode, the music and mood of Cowboy Bebop struck me as being similar to Trigun, and both are awesome anime that leave you satisfied and thinking.
I can think of around 20 similarities between Cowboy and Trigun - general mood, main character, plot development ect. All you have to do is watch both to understand that.
The same atmosphere and very similar plot. Even characters are very similar- Vash and Knives are like Spike and Vicious.
Both are set in the future and are about bounty hunters.
Both Cowboy Bebop and Trigun have similar ideas in their storylines. You only have to watch both animes to see how many similarities there are.
Both main characters Spike (Cowboy Bebop) and Vash the Stampeed (Trigun) are outlaws of sorts. Both appearing to be brash, selfish, and sometimes thoughtless as a mask hiding their inner hearts. Vash and Spike have also suffered great loss and are trying to make sense of it while dealing justice in their own way across the galaxies.
Both of these animes have their own aspect of hilariousness, though Trigun incorporates more humor than Cowboy Bebop. They're pretty similar in their coloring/art style and give off the same Sci-Fi Cowboy vibe.
Similar setting and mood. although I did watch trigun afterwards and couldnt stop thinking about cowboy bebop.

They main characters have same personality and a crazy goof ball. In the past they had there love one killed by thier enemy, and a tragic past.
It's huge rip off of this classic anime series.
Both of the animes have fun loving, seemingly silly main characters who are in fact beings with powerful abilities. Also, both main characters have evil brothers that seek to destroy the world. The similarities really start to become apparent during the last 10 episodes of trinity blood. If you like Trinity blood, you'll probably like Trigun, but it doesn't necessarily work the other way around. Trigun is superior to Trinity blood imho.
Both protagonists have similar backgrounds. In fact, Abel (Trinity Blood's protagonist) and Vash (Trigun's protagonist) are so similar that the Anime/Manga Character Flaw Website's (http://amcflaws.awardspace.com/) flaw for Abel is:
"if Vash and Alucard ever did the fusion dance, and it failed, they would be him."
At first glance Trinity Blood may not seem similar to Trigun, but the protagonists are almost exactly the same. It's almost like one ripped the other off!
They are similar in the way that both shows us the relashonship between two womens but in this case one on the cast female was a male before...
Two characters are the same and they both have twin older brothers that despise each other. They even have blond hair and round glasses. Well, besides the physical similarities, both characters are very powerful and different from the average species. Both of the series contains comedy, suspense, action, and some blood. This series are a thrill to enjoy, especially with awesome characters, action, and humor.

This both are about guns. The different is that GunGrave is more serious. Trigun is more funny.
I think both were developed by the same people and this would make sense because they are very similar in style to each other. Trigun is less gory and violent but still very good. Both have a great storyline, higly developed emotional characters, and action packed gun fights. I higly recomend if you enjoyed gungrave to check out trigun you will like it.
The art is similar (from the same creator so what would you expect?), the story concept has some bridges. Above all.... COOL GUNS EVERYWHERE!
The Gungrave game's story, in which the anime'ss story is based, was written by the author of Trigun. They have similar pace and themes.
Both characters are excellent gunsmen and are portrayed as such throughout their animes, both in their former life. Grave is more on a revenge trip than Vash though and definitely won't hesitate to kill... most of the time. I think Gungrave is a little darker then Trigun but give it a try if you enjoyed Trigun.
similar storylines of redemption, gungrave is a bit darker. both have a similar badass feel where it counts, especially gungrave. if you want the lighter side of things go for trigun
While Trigun is filled with comedy and action, anyone with a brain can see the serious undertone of the series, especially in the second half. Gungrave lacks the comedy that was found in Trigun, but the emotional ride is just as good, if not better. Not to mention, the final episode of Gungrave is quite possibly one of the best endings of an anime I have ever seen.

Well basically, both the main character doesn't want to kill people and each series is funny as hell! And it has the same theme too.
Pistol weilding main characters that can't be hit.
Both shows have a single lead character(Trigun = Male, Genadier = Female) who ,while supremely skilled, is not totally invincible. The worlds also are in a similar state with interesting variations such mountain pass where the wind is so strong it keeps dead bodies flying around in a perpetual swirl. Also in both shows interesting and powerful boss characters show up to channelge the hero and their unlikely allies with both placing a small but focused dedication towards comedy. A++
Instead of a guy, it's a woman trying to get through without hurting others
both are funny and have people who use guns but wont kill with them.
The main hero with credo not to take anyone's life.

Main characters seem similar. Both have same type of action and humor but Gun X Sword has giant robots.
Both anime have the same western feeling and the main characters are both searching for the man that killed the women they loved. Plus they have other similarities.
Vash (main character of Trigun) and Van (main character of Gun X Sword) remind me of each other, although not all of their characteristics match. Both main characters are kind of laid back but still hardcore fighters.
Even though Gun X Sword is a mecha-styled show and Trigun isn't, I think if you were to watch the two you could probably make little lines between the shared qualities like the land and towns in both.
The main characters share many characteristics, that include having abilities that aren't human, being chased by events from the past, being (or at least trying to be) loners, being kind and generous, having unusual weapons and they both are funny in their own ways.
The two animes take place in a post apocalptyc enviroment, and the current civilization is like the western type filled with the blessings of the long forgotten technologies.
The main characters are very similar in beliefs, mannerisms, food obsessions, and "hey look at me I'm harmless JUST KIDDING HERE'S MY AWESOME WEAPON!"ness. Even the planets are similar. And just like Trigun the main character bounces from town to town (where his reputation precedes him) in search of the Big Bad Boss guy.
its pretty much the same but instead of having an amazing guns it has armors which are like robots you control

Looks into more ideas about the recreation of the world, though this one is preapocalypse. Also contains a lot of serious storyline and only inserts comedy into each episode where it fits, never has a whole episode of silly. I felt trigun did this as well. It's also about some mysterious characters that do unexpected things for the personality you think they have.
They have the same ideology, the main characters have the same style, not to mention that they are both gunmen. The plots are also very similar. Generally, black cat is in the same line with trigun as a whole.
I liked the gun fights in both, though Black Cat tends to be a lot darker and Trigun is a lot more humerous.
Both series revolve around legendary gunmen, though Trigun doesn't touch on the aspect of assassins as much as Black Cat. However, action anime fans are sure to love this series, so buckle up and let the bullets fly!

Recipe:
Take 1 part Vash, 2 parts Wolfwood, and 6 parts short unattractive mega-pervert. Place in a desert oven set to 125° for 17-18 years and you get Kanta "Sunabouzu" Mizuno. Serve with large helpings of big bounties, boisterous badasses, and buxom babes and you get 24 episodes of action packed sexually frustrated hilarity known simply as "Desert Punk"
same kind of style of humor with better animation. a must watch!
Both feature Wasteland / after Armageddon type settings and strong comedy elements mixed with nice action and good animation.

motifs feel somewhat similar...
art style (not artist style) also feel similar...
Both are science fiction...
both have a western frontier feel to them...
If you like Outlawstar! then you must like Trigun!! =D
After watching Outlaw Star, Trigun was the next anime i moved on to. They both have a sense of adventure and comedic attitude throughout. Similarities lie between things like both being set in space, bounty hunting and all the trouble the characters get in and out of.
The characters in both animes have similar personalities and attitudes too.

Lol some infamous legendary super strong guy that travels around and does stuff ^.^ and they can shoot stuff outta their arms O.o
Trigun & King of Bandit Jing are quite pretty simular ^^
they both are adventure anime, when the main char,Vash from Trigun & Jing from King of Bandit Jing, travels from town to town,in order to find something, and help to a lot of people in the way, while their journey, they encounter a lot of enemies that know that there is some great King of Bandits like Jing & Vash the Stampede, and they dont belive they facing the real ones, both are comedy, adventure anime, similar to each other,if u liked one of them,I almost sure u will like the another.

Although one anime (Trigun) has a Wild West Cowboy feel, and another (Rurouni Kenshin) has Samurai, they both have a simalar story to tell. Both have a main character who dosen't kill no matter the situation, and both main charaters are skilled badasses. If you enjoyed Trigun then you'll probably enjoy Kenshin just the same, and vicea versa.
Both feature a similar main character who is strong, but does not seem strong.

Trigun's unique storyline of morality upheld by a sense of character justice is the same basis of Witch Hunter Robin. While Trigun's attractive main character provides an entire life biography, Witch Hunter Robin shows a glimpse of her magical life; setting the viewer as a third person limited omniscient.

Red coat Gunslinger, Ebony and Ivory big @$$ guns, charasmatic main character. oh and no annoying loli female b.s.
Okey, it's complitely different consept, but they both got a ultimate-powered guy who wields a really big gun. And both wear red. And both have yellow sunglasses. That has to count.
Both stories have similar history of the creation of worlds: collapse spacecrafts with humans aboard, unknown planets, etc
They both have super sick main characters. Vash and Hei both have sibling problems. Hei and Vash both have multiple personalities. They both contain a lot of action. Trigun is definately funnier.
You probably think why they are similar??? I to you will print out all ^ __ ^
To begin with Trigun we see the guy Vash with interesting character, all to start very funny, but then to the series middle it will already start details about its antecedents whom was etc.
The twirled plot and Interest to the given product is guaranteed!!!
Now Kiba many compare it with Pokemon is a delirium do not listen to them, actually anime to be under construction about the one who such Zed, why for it such force and because of what his mother has got in the loony hospital...
Both data anime very interesting, many secrets reveal and after review actually envy imaginations and ideas of directors of the given product ^ _ ^
They both have good plots and decent endings, the main characters also have something in common in that they both have a painful/sad past. There is quite a difference between the shows at the start (Trigun having comedy) but as they progress you should notice the similarities. All in all, these are some decent show's which shouldn't be over-looked in the slightest.
If you really like guns and want more watch trigun better graphics but not tat good and has very good fights and best guns ull ever seen
Both anime grow in the same fasion. They start out with comedy, then get into action, and end out very dramatically.
The main characters in D.Gray-man and Trigun are very reminiscent of each other. They both strive to create peace and harmony wherever they go, knowing that they inevitably bring destruction with them. Their pain becomes a source of strength in tight circumstances, however.
If you like travelling, gunslinging and philosophical story lines then this is the right anime for you!
Trigun is a hilarious comedy but when the going gets tough for the characters it gets serious. They are both very similar. Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach is trying to save the world from evil spirits called Hollows. Vash the Stampede from Trigun is trying to save himself from the brink of INSANITY!
Both are full of action...
Although the settings are completely different I feel that Trigun and GTO feel very much the same. Both main characters can get themselves out of any situation!
Well, If I tell why they're similar, I'd be spoiling the whole story but it basicly the same kind of science fiction. Both stories are about the future life of humans (I can't say anymore unless I spoil the storys. Sorry.)
At first , it appears that neither series really has anything in common. But as Solty Rei progress into the 2nd half certain traits of Solty's almost mirror those of Vash , themes that I'd go into but that would be spoiling somethings if you've only seen one series or the other.

Basara and Vash are quite similar as they both hate to fight and their appearance with glasses look similar. Basara using his music and Vash use his humour or "stupidity" with their evading skills when they battle and their purpose is same I guess. The main girls in both animes are also making troubles for the main character but they are helpful too.
Even if the settings and the plot are diffrence I think you will like them both but you have to like the music in Macross 7.
The two seem to be very similar and if you liked trigun, you would like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and vice versa
Both main chars "Vash" and "Ryo" are both really skilled but they avoid showing their skills in "non-critical" situations and acting complementary.=> Vash seems to be really fearful and Ryo doesn't have any interests except "mokkori" women ;-)
Both anime are really funny to watch!
Big Difference: City Hunter is more episode-based. Trigun more story-telling.
Both Trigun and Fruits Basket begin with much humor and get more dramatic as they go along. The hero in Trigun, Vash, is much more goofy than Yuki or Kyo, but was also cursed from birth except he was cursed with "what" he is. You'll understand that if you watch the show. If you like humor, action, drama, meaningful... and did I mention humorous animes, you will love both Trigun and Fruits Basket.
If you liked Trigun, then you prolly like good involved stories, with everything in them, like plot twists, humor, tragedy, romance and killer fight scenes. Fushigi Yuugi, though slow to start has all that and more. The biggest similarity is both these Anime's ROCK!

Character development through the episodes, splash of comedy and dark themes that vary based on the episodes. Black Lagoon is a bit more focused on realism, with a cowboy bebop episode gallery that adds a lot of variety.
