Sadly I haven`t read the Sora no Otoshimono manga, but judging from the description of it DearS seams very similar to it:
A male protagonist encounters an "angel", later meets a second tsundere-like angel and has an female childhood friend. Though Mitsuki seems to differ from Neneko.
Both are ecchi series.
Both have similar feel to it a boy find an alien/angel boy not want the alien/angel around than crazy insanity in sues. It has the whole master thing going on collars around the neck and clueless "pets" what more can I say both are very similar.

I watched the entire series of Heavens Lost Property and Heavens Lost Property Forte, not including the OVAs. The dears from the show are basically aliens that live their lives being slaves and they don't mind.
Heavens Lost Property is similar because the Angeloids main purpose is to serve their masters. Both series are really good though and I'm currently reading the Heavens Lost Property manga.

The similarity in these two are just the weird sense of humor and randomness they both radiate of. The setting is also the same: a guy comes across somehow magically/paranormally wrought women that change his life drastically. They're both very entertaining to watch, especially the fact that they both actually HAVE a good storyline, which sometimes, is a bit interrupted or really strange. Also the sequels of Sora no Otoshimono (SnO: Forte and soon 3 yay! ^^), and Kore wa Zomie Desu Ka?: Of The Dead, are all good continuations of the storyline and again, full of random, retarded, humorous events. I really recommend both animes because they're just a good use of your anime time ;). Oh, and did I mention fanservice in both of them? :3

both anime worth all the seconds you spend watching them cuz is HILARIOUS and will make u laught out loud with tears, good ecchi style plenty of hotties :P and same time "innocent" ( or not) a good use of emotions aswell as the funny parts, the fight scenes are nothing special but , who cares :P both are so damn funny
Sora no Otoshimono and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka are both supernatural ecchi comedy series with good actions scenes. The latter uses less ecchi and has more fights, while the former places a greater emphasis on humour and less on action. They're both fairly similar though.

It seems that both animes copied each other. Both anime containing a main character who has big boobs, is from outer space, and live to make the main male character happy, only to ruin his life. Also, the main male characters in both animes can be described as indecisive and extremely ignorant, which sometimes makes you think "why are you even with him?" Bottom line they are harems, sexy, and funny.

Both have a busty girl who comes to "ruin" their lives (Ikaros / Lala), and both fall in love with the main character. Both series mix "religious" and supernatural thematic (Angeloid= Angel Droid / Deviluke= Devil Alien). Both series involves a conflict against an evil powerful leader (Master of Synapse / Gid Lucion Deviluke), who wants back to the main female character in her respective place of origin.
To me, both series are perfect for a crossover.

They're also like reverses of each with Otoshimono focusing on angels (or what ever they are) and Dxd focusing on devils.
Both series are of the harem genre in which the main protagonist is surrounded by various girls of conflicting personalities. Supernatural, action, ecchi are involved as the story progresses and emotional lines are drawn. Both main guy also are perverted and their minds are filled with thoughts of the opposite sex.
It's like Highschool DxD in some ways.. . the difference is that HSDxD is Demon while SNO is Angel

I also find the humor somewhat similar in both. AMG however, is more heavy on the drama while SnO is funnier. If you liked one of them be sure to check out the other.

Others have recommended animes like Chobits or DearS. While these animes are similar in story, they don't have the same feel as Sora no Otoshimono. The humor of Sora no Otoshimono has the exact same tone as Inukami. Extremely ridiculous, over the top, ecchi humor that is presented in a unique way. This is interspersed within more serious arcs that provide the occasional relief from the outrageous comedy.
Basically, if you laughed your ass off watching Inukami, you will find yourself doing the same for Sora no Otoshimono.
The same good humor and ecchi, some of a a few ecchi animes i've enjoyed.
Quite obviously both feature "pervert main male leads but dependable in times of need", and feature harem and one original girl who fell in love with him. Both also have unique censors for the main guy's manhood, who often goes around naked.

The heroines of these series are girl-shaped-weapon who run away from her 'master' and meet the main guy. Then 'the master' send another 'girls' to catch her. Elfen Lied is a gory version of Sora no Otoshimono

I started watching Sora no Otoshimono the other day and couldn't understand why I felt like I had already seen it until realizing that it had almost the exact same premise as This Ugly Yet Beautiful World. Girl with big boobs/naked and/or super powers falls from the sky and is under the guidance of a guy. The difference is that This Ugly Yet Beautiful World is more serious and shows naked normal sized breasts, while Sora no Otoshimono is an ecchi comedy with clothed huge breasts. In This Ugly Yet Beautiful World more people have super powers; in Sora no Otoshimono "pantsu" is said at least 14 times an episode.
An alien chick with very little in the way of clothing drops from the sky, and lo and behold, a teenager finds her and the go off into their happy little harem.

The concept is very similar to that of this show and the animation is really similar too. In Sora there are two angels and thats about it but in shuffle there are bunches of demons and gods. Shuffle is a little more going for the romantic drama type anime while Sora no O. is going for the comedy anime.
If you really liked Sora no Otoshimono then u will like Shuffle! Becouse there similiar -

In a way, I find these two series somewhat alike.
Both main protagonists from the series have frequent indecent thoughts of the main female characters. In particular, there are characters who berates him for it and calls him a 'pervert'.
The setting of both series also takes place in a school life environment where there is drama, comedy, and romance.
Both series also contains a supernatural theme added to them that seems to destiny that leads to the protagonist towards on what he is from the very first episode.
Both male protagonist are extreme perverts who act upon it at any given time.
Other then that there isn't much to say for a anime that is still airing.

If you like ecchi-based comedy, then you would definitely like the other one. They both contain lots of ecchi stuff and a bit of harem.
What can I say? Both of these animes cover EVERY KNOWN genre possible. They both have ecchi, romance, fighting, super-power, magic, and I could go on forever. If it exists, BOTH of these animes have it. There is something for everyone in each of these, and that goes without saying that the plots of each of these is SUPERB. To boot, each has at least 2 seasons, totaling over 25 episodes each, plus OVAs.

Even though they are both angels or discuss angels in some aspect Sora No Otoshimono is on earth and the angels came down after their master demanded they do so, while in angel beats they are more sent to this place to find the life they never had or their happiness. Both are incredibly humourous shows with a lot of eechi and random humour, though both artstyles may be off putting for some (to be honest i dropped both shows ~3 ep in, but im glad i picked them up again as they are both fantastic heartwarming hilarious series. It gets better later on).
Highly recommend sora no otoshimono if youre looking for a bit more action and storyline and can stand some eechi moments.

Although both have much different plot, sora no otoshimono is still a funny harem ecchi. Many different girls like him and it is quite enjoyable. The only thing to note is that action and fighting scenes don't happen as often and are normally ignored afterwards and funny stuff continues.

Though Sora no Otoshimono hasn't been aired yet, its preview reminded me greatly of Asura Cryin'. In both animes there is a schoolboy protagonist surrounded by female characters posessing some special abilities. The male protagonist becomes involved in some adventures with unnatural flavour. In the end, everything depends on him, I guess.
