A cartoony & silly baseball battle with bunnies vs. tanuki is great fun for the fan of early animation. The premise is amusing and the animals are very cute, but the gags really pick up when the ball gets hit out of the park and into the home of clueless forest animals.

The very simple line drawings showcase how creativity can thrive even with limited budget and resources. Stark contrast of black & white gives a classic ink-drawing feel that is graphically interesting.

This short film is easy to enjoy even if you can't understand the (limited) Japanese narration. The music is a little read more

Both are very old anime (1931) that feature anthromorphic animals and are mainly for kids. While Oira no Yakyuu is about sports, Chou no Sainan is more action.

Both are very short and very old movies. In both, two species of anthromorphic animals fights with each other. While in Oira no Yakyuu their fight takes form of sport match, in Osaru no Sankichi: Totsugekitai their fight takes form of war.

Anime shorts. Both are extremely old, and have that projector feel to it. Surreal and strange storylines...
With singing/narratoring accompanying the simplistic moving pictures and up-beat music

The storylines are completely different, but if you like the old-film technique in one, then you're sure to see it in the other.
