Whilst Fresh Precure isn't the best Pretty Cure series out there, it's nowhere near the worst, and has a certain charm to it which makes it a lot more enjoyable than quite a few other magical girl shows. Whilst Pretty Cure can sometimes be hit-and-miss with me, Fresh prove to be an enjoyable ride and something I'd definitely recommend to anybody who likes the mahou shoujo genre.
Story: 7
Fresh Precure's basic storyline is the same as most other series - an ordinary schoolgirl stumbles across some kind of magical creature who offers them the chance to become a legendary warrior who must save the creature's/the girl's world from an evil organization. Fresh's overall plotline isn't even all that outstanding, but for a Pretty Cure series, I found it to be quite good. Pretty Cure has a tendency to suffer from too many fillers and a very weak plotline, but Fresh's plotline manages to engage and interest, helped even more by the characters, which I'll address later.
Art: 6
I'll admit it, Fresh Precure's isn't terrible, but it didn't exactly bowl me over either. There are multiple things to complain about regarding the artwork. Perhaps it's the hair which barely ever moves, the strange eyes, the very basic backgrounds or the fact that block colour is used far too often. Regardless, compared to other series of the Pretty Cure franchise, Fresh's artwork was unimpressive. On a more positive note, I thought the transformation scenes (especially Cure Passion's solo transformation) were very nicely done, as well as the 3D endings, which unusually for 3D, looked quite nice.
Sound: 7
The voice acting in Fresh is, to me, spot on. Every character's voice suited them well and the roles were played with feeling and heart. Eri Kitamura (Miki) and Yuka Komatsu (Setsuna) in particular impressed me with their performances. The anime's original soundtrack is decent - it's not too memorable, but there are no bad tracks. I also really liked the music for the transformation. As for the opening and ending themes - the opening theme is a typical Precure theme with a cheerful and upbeat tune and the name of the series being shouted at every opportunity. But when I say 'shouted', I mean shouted, at least for the first version of the opening. The singer for the original version was admittedly awful and I began to get sick of hearing 'Flesh, Flesh, Flesh!' chanted at the beginning of every episode. Fortunately the in the second version of the opening, the singer seems to have improved and has a voice much more pleasant on the ears. The endings are boppy tunes that are often used in the anime for Clover's dance routines. Overall, the sound was good.
Character: 8
The characters of Fresh Precure are really good and very likeable, all with their own unique personalities. Love Momozono, our main character, is a Mary Sue - but, amazingly, she's a likeable Mary Sue, something I wasn't sure existed until now. Love is the sort of character you want to root for and really hope will do well and 'get her happiness', as she puts it in nearly every single episode of the series. Her friends, Miki and Buki, are both different from Love in their own ways - Miki is a very self-confident, practical girl with a career as a model whereas Buki is a more quiet, reserved, easily scared character. Tarte and Chiffon, the two mascots, are some of Pretty Cure's less annoying mascots. Tarte's quite a chilled, laid-back kind of ferret, and some of the lines he comes out with can be hilarious. Meanwhile, the baby of the group, Chiffon, can't even speak many words, so usually has to make do with a 'puri~pu!' whilst pulling a ridiculously adorable smile. Maybe if she'd been able to talk more I'd have found her annoying, but I just found Chiffon to be quiet a cute character.
As for the villians, they're the best I've seen in a Pretty Cure series so far. Westar, Soular and Eas aren't just there for the sake of being evil or a source of comic relief - they have realistic personalities and play pivotal roles in the series. Eas is the most tragic character - it's almost unsettling to watch her go from a determined villian to a quivering wreck of a girl with no idea who she's fighting for any more. Westar and Soular really get their time to shine during the final episodes, where I decided that along with Eas they were the best villians in the Pretty Cure franchise. The revelation of Moebius's (the Big Bad) motives and true intents were quite interesting, taking a step away from the cliche of 'I'm going to take over the world just because I'm evil and/or I have a tragic past'. All in all, I thought the characters were excellent and the only ones I disliked were Northa and Klein, who you're supposed to dislike anyway.
Enjoyment: 8
I really enjoyed Fresh as a series and whilst it didn't quite make it to the slot of my favourite Pretty Cure series, it was certainly good enough to motivate me to write a very positive review about the series. Even the filler episodes are fun to watch due to the vibrant cast of characters that populate the series.
Overall: 8
Fresh Precure is definitely one of the better Pretty Cure series and I personally believe it's a must-watch for anyone who likes the magical girl genre. Highly recommended. read more

O.o Lets begin:
The story of this anime is simple: labyrinth wants to find "infinity" (even they don't know how it looks like) to govern all words. Tart, a fairy of the Sweets Kingdom has to find the 3 pretty cures. For a magic girl for little girls the story is simple. But sometimes you can say: O.o That was a surprise, I didn't believe that... In all 50 episodes we know all about the present and past of the cure's, what are they afraid etc. The story is also full of comedy become the enemies (they're in part silly) and tart
If you see other pretty cure season, the art of this very showy, with too much shiny color and very attractive. The mascots here are also attractive. Tart may look like a ferret, but he is a very proud fairy and he will not get tired to say it. The villains design are also attractive, Soular and Wester look like a shoujo manga man: very "bishounen', but too silly.
About the sound, I really like both versions of the opening (I like better the hybrid version of the opening) and the two openings, but the soundtrack isn't any special. Comparing with the OP and Ed, the soundtrack is simple and boring.
About the animation is good, but sometimes looks so lame, and ugly. And if you put attention the perspective of sizes sometimes is incoherent. But this only happens in the first episodes. When they transform and when they are fighting with the enemy the animation is great. Also I lime the CGI ending dance. Is good to see all ending dance, you will enjoy it.
About the characters, as I said, the anime really one strived in showing all the personality of all the characters. What they like, they efforts to become they're dream come true, what are they afraid and other things about their present and past, how they interact with love prospective and all things what a girl of 14 years old do. I really like this.
About the overall and enjoyment some of the episodes you can skip them, some of them are really boring and it won't affect if you see them or not. Fresh iOS one of the seasons of pretty cure you have to see: is funny, really enjoyable 9most of the episodes an (98% of all) and has a great and epic final. read more
