Rape! Rape! Rape!

Let's face it: when we pick up hentai we usually don't give a damn about the backstory ("plot", heh) and characters. Especially, if we pick up OVA with title such as "Rape! Rape! Rape!". Therefore, you can expect that the plot and characters will be underdeveloped here, and you are correct - at least to some point described later.

There is, however, one big "but" for this one.

Generally I divide hentai into three groups:
1) comedy: you can't help yourself but laugh at some crazy scenes.
2) generic: boring scenes, trite structure.
3) unsettling: there are morally disturbing parts.

"Rape! Rape! Rape!" definitely falls into last group. It is brutal, aggressive and nasty OVA. Watching all those girls in pain is just too distressing (I skipped few scenes). Some people claimed, that there is no development at all - well, I dare to disagree, since I watched all the episodes to the end, and it gets better*. If you're up to something nasty and repulsive for whatever reason, this OVA is for you.

Overall enjoyment is "7", which depicts strength of my negative reaction.

Ughh. Horrible. Typical. Dumb.

It's title can't stress it enough: Rape! Rape! Rape! from beginning to end, seriously. One victim right after the other. (The story's just as original as its title.)

At the beginning some kind of orgy-gang-bang scenario-type-thing is going on with all of these willing and unwilling girls (and a random pregnant woman thrown in for good measure). A mysterious figure whose face is not seen is obviously behind it.

And two minutes later, art and story just go completely downhill from there. (And that's putting it nicely.)

The mysterious figure is none other than some sex-depraved, bullying, wrestling mask-wearing, young man who apparently underwent something traumatic recently because he rapes and rapes and rapes and rapes all in the entire course of one day. Yes, a rape spree.

Victim #1: middle-schooler or highschooler (can't tell the difference these days). The girl was day-dreaming in her bedroom (about him no less - how's that for irony?), and then said guy slides open her window, tackles the girl to the floor...and you guessed it, RAPES her. And to keep her quiet, he pulls out his handy-dandy boyscout knife (which apparently wasn't all that effective since he had to wave it around, oh I don't know, FIVE times to keep reminding her to keep quiet).

After that's over with, he jumps out the same window he came through - yes, just like Peter Pan - and is off and away.

Which brings us to...

Victim #2: A pregnant woman with a bag of groceries. Mysterious rapist is hiding behind a telephone pole, in broad daylight no less, and pursues the unsuspecting victim. And then scene flashes forward and he's raping her at some kind of patch of open space that's so public it's ridiculous. And again, in broad daylight no less. *sigh*

Which brings us to...

Victim #3: Another school girl. Not sure what's going on exactly, but it looks like she's in trouble for something, and rapist (who, *gasp*, is not wearing that ridiculous wrestler mask) dumps the contents of her bag on the table, exposing her secret array of...sweets. (Sweet tooth is an understatement.) Then rapist proceeds to, well, rape her but does it in a way where she doesn't see his face...? Oh, and he does stick some popsicles in her, you know, for variety.

Which finally brings us to...

Victim #4: Yet another schoolgirl. This is the most realistic rape scenario so far, which really says something. It's night time, it happens in a dark, deserted alley, and the oblivious schoolgirl made the mistake of walking to her destination alone. Hoooowever, it's still just as ridiculous as the others. He ties one of her hands with her own hair (yes, you read that right), and she's rendered completely helpless. He flashes his handy-dandy knife, cuts her clothes off, and you guessed it, rapes her. Afterwards, he takes a bunch of photos of her, either as blackmail or as a trophy (I'm thinking the latter) and is off and away.

My POV:

I really could've stopped with "Horrible. Typical. Dumb." up there, but I thought it'd only be fair if I explained the reason for my low opinion (and ratings) for this particular H-title.

Rape! Rape! Rape! had NO imagination whatsoever, and was just stupid through and through. The sex scenes couldn't stimulate a donut, forget a person. It's not even the case that they were tame. You don't need tentacles or BDSM to make rape exciting, but this was BORING. Everything was below par - EVERYTHING. I couldn't suffer through another two episodes, so I dropped it.
