While I personally find Kawaisou more humorous, both are essentially slice of life stories about an apartment building full of weirdos. They also share some romance elements.

For another show about a simple guy living with a bunch of weirdos, give this one a spin. Like Love Hina, the main couple is obvious right off the bat and it holds the same psuedo shoujo-ai air. Above all, it's a very funny and very interesting follow-up if you still haven't gotten enough of the genre.

Both about artists in training at a dorm setting. Bunch of wierdness and oddities mixed in as well~

It's basically similar theme, and kind of same storyline (but not really). But i find these 2 very similar! and great overall!

There's a similar romance in both of those anime between a nice understanding guy and a beautiful girl with a mental problem. Mahoraba is less artistic and has a lighter mood overall but it's just as touching and interesting.

A student moves into a new apartment only to encounter some weird and strange neighbors. Mahoraba: Heartful Days is a long TV series and has tones of romance whilst Yurumates 3D is a short 3 minute long series filled with jokes. Both are light hearted comedies surrounding a group of friends.

- Light-hearted slice of life - Similar cute art and color palette - Cast of likeable characters with comedic interactions - Off-beat at times

- Both have idiosyncratic characters that live in an apartment/home together - Both explore mental health and psychological aspects of why the characters are the way they are - Romantic subtext for the main MCs - Both have a character that enjoys dolls/puppets

Two romcoms set mainly in an apartment with female landlady MCs that has another side to them that meets the eyes at first glance. The apartments in both shows inhabit a variety of eccentric characters whilst the male MCs gradually grow fond of the inhabitants in everyday activities as well as getting closer to the female MCs.

Both are harems about a single guy and several girls, all students. the primary difference is that kono aozora is the drama and serious version, focusing on the past lives of the female characters, and the female characters all has a sibling relationship with the male lead(wataru) while mahoraba is the comic version, and all the female characters are seemingly attracted to the male lead (ryushi)

Both involve a boy moving into place full of not so normal people. In both, the lead male has to take care of the lead girl in different ways. Both have a sort of light feeling with added drama at different times. If you like one, chances are you'll like the other.

- Similar premise of multiple people living in a housing complex together and building relationships - Situational comedy with romantic subtext - Mahoraba explores more aspects of mental health

Very character-based series. Both Mahoraba and Gokujou Seitokai uses the main character and a loose storyline to take the viewer through the lives of the side characters in great depth. Similar type of no-frills, simple artwork and animation, both are fairly light-hearted (for the most part) series.

Both stories involved a genuine male character coming to a new setting, making new friends, and learning new things about them. The male character in both are virtuous displaying many noteworthy attributes and are generally surrounded by many cute girls. Both stories involve an array of characters that are unique and lovable. The connection with and affection we develop for each of the individual characters is what makes both of these anime great.

both anime have a big cast of characters with many many likable characters. both comedy and have a dab of romance (though acc is funnier)

Both anime have the same type of mental illness as a core theme, but Mahoraba has a sensitivity and charm that makes it the better show by a long way.

These two animes are similar 'cause it seems like the same character designer. In both animes the main character looks younger than he actually is. Both animes have many different characters. Also both of these animes are very funny; including parodies. If you liked Hayate no Gotoku, you'll definitely like Mahoraba ~Heartful days~

Slice of life, Romance, more characters , funny, and heartful ?

If you liked the silly harem situations in Inukami, and the way the main character always gets into trouble because of the others, you will definitely like Mahoraba. Though Mahoraba doesn't have ecchi scenes and is more of a romance anime.

Both series involve the main character being thrown into a house with strange characters. Both series are warm and heartfelt and if you're looking for another cute and fluffy series with a bit of a dark twist added in, this is a good one to check out.
