Both series share some of the same genre's and feelings towards the world and certain characters. But while Kino no Tabi deals with Humans, Nature, Society and different Cultures, Casshern SINS deals with death, eerie atmosferes, despair, isolation and (lost) Hope. Both series deal with a lot of introspectiveness and will change the view to certain things for you. Both also share a great amount of good art/animation, though in completely different style's.
Both are science fiction series about a journey... Kino no Tabi is about a journey through human nature and society. Casshern Sins is a journey to the end of the world, through isolation, death, despair and hope. Both are great introspective series that will challenge your view on the world.
It's very similar in how of the main characters go around on journeys and how they are both very sad since they're both loners. It's short and blunt, but that's what I see in them both, they are very simaliar in many ways.

Very similar characters. Both involve a guy who can't remember his past traveling a wasteland searching for his purpose. They each have some action and involve lots of philosophizing.
In this anime, the main character,Casshern, starts a journey to find out the truth about himself, his past.
In Ergo Proxy, Vincent Law, is also uncertain about his past. He has a double personality. Along with other characters he wants to find the truth about himself and his other side.
The world were the action takes place is similar, it is coming to and end, a world were humans don't have the control over it. The robots become aware of their own existence.
Both series play in a very apocalyptic world and have male protagonists who can't remember their past.

Both of those series take place in a world full of robots and they introduce the theme of robot who begin to feel like humans or want to feel like human.
Also the plot is fixed around the world's destiny and the world destruction.
Both are dark remakes of old science-fiction anime, discussing the truth of consciousness through the interactions of robots and humans. They both have a epic, mournful feel to them as well as similar artistic directions (this mainly being updating the artwork without updating the character design).
Also, they both have brief, sudden moments of English lyric songs that are meant to be mournful and emotional but come off to English speakers (at least myself) as completely hilarious.
They are both really great watches-- if you've enjoyed one but haven't seen the other, I'm almost sure you'll like them both. If you haven't seen either I strongly recommend them.

Both deal with the ain of passing fom this world

It's not about the action, it's about the journey and the discovery of two amazingly created worlds. They both are pure piece of art!

Casshern Sins and Soultaker revolve around powerful but melancholic protagonists, who on their journeys through a dark scifi world meet many interesting characters. Both series are dark and have a comfortless atmosphere and tragic aspects through the whole series.

Both are new version of two classics animes from 70s years (neo human casshern and mazinger z).

These two series have a very similar feel to them. Both deal with a world in ruins. The character art is very similar. There is an atmosphere of tragedy and deep emotions. Brigadoon has some funnier epsodes that Casshern Sins doesn't have, but overall I think if you enjoyed one of them, you'll like the other.

They have the same general "feel." First, they both choose to use a different art style, though Kaiba's is more different from the generic anime style of today than Casshern Sins' is. The main characters of both series suddenly awake with amnesia, and find themselves being hunted for reasons they can't remember. They both go on a journey with no destination, and as they meet more people whose stories tend to conclude in either tragic or bittersweet ways, they learn more about themselves and the world they live in.

I can't say how it's similiar to Casshern Sins, but I think that its' something that you may like since they're both very sad animes that are very much like slice-of-life animes.

It's the same with the main characters traveling around, but the main character in this one is very adventurous while going in search of treasure with his sidekick; it's also very sad and can be very memorable at times.

Although both series are placed into total different settings, the eerie vibes, the fights and certain characters are pretty similar in a good way. The plot's and story develop on a different way tho' (as they are different), but they can be watch afters seeing one of the other.

Lots of similarities between these two. Main characters Takaya "D-Boy" (Blade) and Casshern aren't exactly normal humans and both are very indifferent to their surroundings, but develop and change a lot. They're very powerful delivering fast paced and over the top action. Both shows heavily emphasize strong rivalries with villians that are very similar to the main characters, with Blade vs Evil, and Casshern vs Dio. Both shows feature gritty, grimdark, and post-apocalyptic settings with similar pacing. To top it all off, they share the same composer Kaoru Wada, his music in both is very similar and incredible.
Fun note: Seiyuu Toshiyuki Morikawa (whom supposedly broke two mics with his voice during Tekkaman Blade) = Blade and Dio.

watching Casshern Sins made me remember Cyborg 009..
they both are about saving the world from destruction.. the arts in both anime are very similar.. with a taste of old robot anime..
not only that .. but both main characters Joe in Cyborg 009 and Casshern in Casshern Sins are very similar to each other..

In both series the main characters seek to redeem themselves of sins they don't quite remember. Both sometimes seem meandering at times and absolutely beautiful at others. They also share a similar level of western religious symbolism without ever relying on overt Christian symbolism like Evangelion or Ergo Proxy.

Both series are excessively grim and dark retellings of classic Hero anime's. In this case Classic Cyborg Hero anime's.
