SynopsisAya, Yoji, Ken, and Omi are the four young men who comprise Weiss Kruez (WK), an assassin group who eliminates certain menaces to society. Each member has his own trademark fighting style. Aya is adept at fighting with a katana, Yoji has mastered the art of strangulation via strings, Ken is lethal with his metal claws, while Omi specializes in a wide array of projectiles. Under the command of a mysterious man known only as "Persia", the WK is dispatched to take care of drug rings, terrorist factions, and the like. But as things go along, they discover that most, if not all, the bad elements they have dealt with are somehow connected to the Takatori family. The Takatori family is rich, powerful, and influential. It seems if the problem is to be nipped in the bud, the WK would have to put an end to one of Japan`s most prominent clans.

:::FULL REVIEW::
Weiss Kreuz is one of those anime shows that you've feel you've seen before. And you're mostly right, the overall story has been done by every box-office smash, b-movie, independent movie, anime, TV show, and even children's programming. But what this resembles most of all is some "mature-ish" version of Power Rangers. Four main characters that specialize in their own fighting style working for one mysterious entity. Out fighting one conglomerate trying to find the truth all while unleashing some justice in the world. Sounds like something you've seen before right?
Well if things are pretty much rehashed iterations of other shows, how does this one fare? Horribly. The little missions they take on every episode are all cookie cutter and VERY cheesy. Something you would expect from an 80's anime, not an anime that aired in 1998. Even the dramatic scenes are completely predictable and laughable as well. Well if theres any reward for this story it would probably be for "the most use of vehicular manslaughter in an anime series." When you expect the story is getting weak or going no where, a revving engine followed by screeching tires and people screaming will soon be behind. It's pretty funny how they manage to throw so many cars into crowds or people getting run over.
The art is something to be believed. Aura Battler Dunbine and DBZ did a better job getting animated than this show did. While I was watching this show I could have sworn this was made in the 80's but for a show to look this bad so late in the 90's is just embarrassing. Especially when theres so many vehicles in this show, none of them resemble any car and they're animated in like 4 frames or less. It doesn't even look like they tried to make this show look good. Don't be fooled by the art on the anime profile, it looks ten times worse in animation form.
I gave the sound a "Mediocre" rating because it sounded like this is where most of the effort was put in. They tried to portray a chaos during their fights and for what it's worth it wasn't that terrible. But its hard to rely on the sound effects when the corresponding artwork is so disgustingly poor. I was even surprised by some of the voice actors of the show which played their parts pretty well. I'm sure you'll be able to spot some popular seiyus in this show if you manage to give this show a try.
The seiyus did their job on getting their character across to the audience, but unfortunately the characters came off cookie cutter and predictable. I mean, their base of operations is a flower shop *~* Their character specialties are pretty hilarious too. I mean how can one persons specialty be choking people? I understand the feeling of want to choke people every now and then, but using that as a form of killing is kind of counter productive don't you think? The other three members use a gun, sword, and claws pretty standard for an anime. You'll laugh at the "RAGE" when you see it. If you'll remember anything from this show, it'll definitely be "RAAAAAAAAGEEE!!" ^_^
Overall, it was so bad, it was VERY hard to keep watching all the way through. I was hoping something was going to make it better but all i got was RAGE. I was definitely laughing more than anything else. If you love poorly made action flicks or enjoy laughing at points where you're not supposed to laugh, give it a go. This show is worth a few laughs if you can stomach everything else. read more

Many character similarities, and lots of pretty boys and angst. Both these anime also focus on the main characters and their jobs and how it affects them in their everyday lives. Ban and Ginji with their odd jobs and the characters of Weiss Kreuz with their assassin jobs.

Both are anime that deal with assassins. Both anime have secret organizations and both anime have characters with special powers.
