Both are set in a cafe / restaurant type of setting. Both have extremely attractive men. And both have a nice calming pace.
These two series set in restaurants have a lot more in common than just that. Both were specifically targeted at older viewers, resulting in older characters and more mature plots than your average anime; and both have a calm, slice-of-life feel with a bit of romance added for flavor.
It's all about atmosphere, drama, charming men, and food.
Gay Cake (Antique Bakery) and Notsogay Restaurant (Ristorante Paradiso) both focus on amazing food (desert/entrees, all food is amazing). Gay Cake had a much more amusing plot. Notsogay Restaurant's strong point was fantastic animation. Gay Cake wasn't weak in that area per se, but couldn't win in that category. Bad Eyesight/glasses Motif included in both anime.

Both shows have a strong homosexual streak through them, with interesting, lively characters. Antique is more based on cakes and dramatic plot whilst Junjou focuses more on it's characters and the whole "Am I gay?" thing. If you like Ono from Antique, you may like Junjou a lot. That being said, if you like Junjou, you may like Ono!
These are targeted towards a western, mature, female audience because of their shounen-ai content that will cause women to squirm, giggle, and gross-out in just one episode. Curiosity is the leading use of the storyline for the viewers as they watch a eloquent group of unrealistically handsome and sexually confused men.

Both shows feature pretty boys who come together to form a family of sorts while serving cake to girls. Although Antique Bakery is definitely BL, Ouran is only slashable.

Both are bakery anime. although antique bakery pays more attention to desserts and Yakitate Japan pays more attention to bread. Also the genre is a little off. Yakitate is all about side splitting laughs, and antique bakery is more of a serious (?) bishounen drama :(
only check out antique bakery if you don't mind bishounen.
