Both are about unlucky girl-only squads in absurd comedic situations.
Both are stories with plenty of comedy, action, space exploration, and great female characters.
While not Ecchi like Umisho, it does have cute girls ;P. Galaxy Angel does share similar comedy attributes as Umisho , and if your still looking for a break from your normal dramas and think plot stories, then give Galaxy Angels a try. The lack of plot makes it easy to pick up and have a good carefree laugh.
it is similar because it talks about fantasy and achieving your dreams,, with a team or with your friends
same creators, they are very similar to each other, you can expect the same nonesense humor.
Most of the major characters have really bad (or, at least, self-serving) personalities in some way or other. Both shows create lots of similar humor from their characters' differences. The characters still seem accomplish their respective teams' goals. Also, both shows have a character who is obsessed with guns.
My first impression for this anime. I think Sakuraba Milfeulle has same luck with Sakura Ichiko, for finding valuable items, treasure, and winning lottery ticket, but has bad luck once a year.
A misfit bunch of (mostly) greedy and selfish individuals working for military, even though their competency makes you wonder how they even made it to their current position? Wacky sci-fi setting? Random plots, leading to Failure Being The Only Option?

Keroro runs on parody fuel, mixing in slice-of-life and melodrama, while GA leans to uninhibited random comedy that is seemingly set on making as little sense as possible. Still, both series feel very similar.
These are all joke-driven without major emphasis on long-term plot.
Both are random, and made out of crazy girls! Very funny combination.
These anime are about a band of girls going on various adventures, though things don’t always go as well as planned. Also, the girls are really attracted to guys and like to fight over them. Magipoka could be considered fantasy, while Galaxy Angel is sci-fi. Both are very cute and funny, so you can't go wrong with either. The personalities of the characters also mirror each other: Liru = Forte (tomboyish and has the hots for men), Pachira = Mint (egotistic and sometimes plays tricks on the other girls), Yuuma = Milfeulle (happy-go-lucky, but somewhat airheaded), Aiko = Normad?? (I dunno, they’re both robots and tend to receive the short end of the stick.)
Let's face it. GA and SZS are both great anime, and have both the random humour. let's also face it, sometimes you can't follow SZS and GA's storyline. that's why it's very similar. ;D
Both series have lots of humor, are mainly about girls and have not many guys in it.
Both series don't really have a plot either.
Though the scene is different (the galaxy <-> high school), the series are quite alike!!
Both are based on a scince fiction story.
The unlikely comedy that actually has a potential to be serious dramatic action, but somehow disregard any credibility they build up over the course of the show, end up as a full-blown comedy.

Sci-fi fantasy settings with fancy weapon and power? Check. Evil knight controlled by some higher secret order? Check. The chosen dude who accidentally jumped into other world and happen to bel the one who will ultimately destroy all evil? Check. Ixion Saga is an old-school fantasy andventure with all mentioned above, but WITHOUT any intention to actually become the full-blown badass anime. It's just a slapstick comedy with unusual setting. That's it. Half season in and they NEVER take on any threat, war, famine, or evil overlord seriously.

Galaxy Angel? This decade old space opera is no different. Macross like space combat machine with sexy pilot? Check. Powerful artifact from the past that shouldn't get into wrong hand? Check. Evil organization and disastrous timebending event? Check. Trying to actually fight evil and not fooling around baking burnt cake and finding lost cats? No fucking way.

Is it bad? Not really. They are not lukewarm like those action harem with plenty of boobies catfighting each other and confuse viewers what they are watching. The feeling "Are you trying to be funny or badass?" should have come up to you once when watching the "bad" mix of drama and comedy in many of the anime I don't care to name.

These two are not. Ixion Saga is funny enough to actually be a comedy, and Galaxy Angel lack of mentioning any conflict make them an obvious candidate for just-for-fun show. For the first season at least.
it is similar to pretty cure because the lead characters of galaxy angels have a anime comedy factor as well as the pretty cure
