Ojiisan no Densha is an animation that presents a pleasant and idyllic portrait of the daily life in the Showa era. It features an old guy who conducts a train and a young man who plays baseball. Other than that the story mostly serves to accompany the music.
The animation is very simplistic and old fashioned looking, in a way that reminds you of old Hanna-Barbara cartoons.The story is simple, but the characters are expressive and the music has an interesting nostalgic quality to ... it.
